Time Travelers! Espers! Aliens! Oh my!

I've been on a Haruhi kick lately, so I figured I'd propose this question to you all: Give the choice, would you like to become a Time Traveler, an Esper, or an Alien?
As for me, I would chose the power of time traveling, just like Mikuru. I'm really curious about the past, and I would love to travel back and experience culturally phenomenons, (such as the Beatles), first hand. I also think that it would be useful to have in case I made a major mistake in my life. That way, I could go back and try it again.
Anyways, what do you guys think?

Though I have loved space and astronomy, but I never was interested in Alien per say, so no to Aliens. I am not so sure what an Esper is exactly, so I'll aviod picking that. Probably time traveler, just the notion of travel to past and future always has interested me. It always sounded like fun since I was a kid. ^_^

Esper. BTW Yuki's uniform is different. Where's it from? It's one the tip of my tongue but I can't remember where's it from.

It depends on a couple possibilites. My first thought would be time traveler. Going back in time has been a fantasy of mine for years. It also depends on the abilities of the esper. If I could do enough things with my mind that might win out. Being an alien is out of the question, that would just be weird.

Time traveler obvy. I would mostly go to the future I suppose, but I know there is at least one thing I would go back and "fix".

What? No sliders? Fine, I'd rather become an alien if it means being able to travel the universe. Now if I could be a slider, I would like do do some dimensional jumping and maybe stumble onto an interesting world.

Hell yeah, slider. It's only been mentioned a couple times but exploring the Multiverse seems more fun than being a red-tape leaden time traveler, usually powerless psychic, or alien who's doing what the psychic should be able to do.

Getting back on topic, being a time traveller sounds good. However, can we really change what has already happened in the past? Based on the time travel novels I have read, by changing the past, we could simply be creating another timeline that diverges from the original. In other words, the original universe continues to function the way it did; another parallel world is merely created.
An Esper isn't such a bad occupation either. With powers, we could try to change the world, although there will be instances where such power may corrupt one.

I would choose esper. Time traveling sounds so cheap and aliens, for some reason, don't attract me.

Not to sound naive, but can anyone tell me a bit more about Sliders? I'm only up to the 3rd light novel, and that's why I didn't include them in this thread...

Oh, wow, that's really interesting, and it would be amusing if Kyon was a slider, but you're probably right. Haruhi just loves dragging him around everywhere; if he had the choice, he wouldn't go anywhere.

I mean, you can throw fireballs, and how cool is that?. Plus whatever other abilities you get (Esper is derived from ESP which stands for Extra-Sensory Perception...so I'd guess that would include telepathy, mind-reading, clairvoyance and whatever have you; though I'm not sure as to how many of those are actually showed).
Plus, you get to work essentially as a Spy.

If I can be like Yuki, Hell I want to be one. I can alter data and get info from my future self at any time. Also I can do almost everything an Esper or a time traveler can do. In a round about way of course ^^

are we assuming the same restrictions in powers similar to haruhi's world? then i choose alien.
out of haruhi, mikuru and yuki, yuki was my favourite. she does more work and helping the group than mikuru (both big and small) and Itsuki combined.
if u're on volume 3, then the next volume is Disapperence right? this was literally the book that made me fall in love with her. i could sympathize with kyon feelings so much in this book.
