I don't know what high school you went to but the only time anyone changed their personality as sharply as they do here is when a girl was on her period.
I'm saying they're changing it too erratically and it bugs the hell out of me.
I agree the whole blocking doors was completely out of character for Ami for Kitamura maybe you know. BIG MAYBE.
Moreover wtf was Minori thinking. All of a sudden she's outspoken and decides to speak her mind and meddle with someone else's love's life? Seriously this episode was weird in the way the characters reacted.
Nobody's personality has drastically changed from what you are used to, except maybe Noto who's awfully lovestruck this time around.
Minori gets pissed because Ryuuji lies to a person she and he care for, which would probably betray Minori's expectations of him (she does have affections for him after all), which is along the same lines as how you guys want Ryuuji to come to a decision. She's probably also upset that Taiga holds back her happiness in what Minori thinks is a failed attempt at helping her.
Since Taiga failed at her confession to Kitamura in episode 2(or 3?), he probably felt that she had feelings for Ryuuji, and only after the whole situation during winter break did he confirm that suspicion. Him guarding the door matches his gung-ho character and the situation is also much like how Ryuuji and Taiga tried to force him to become president.
Ami-chan has obviously been aware for a long time of the feelings between Taiga and Ryuuji, considering she is the most perceptive character in Toradora and has mentioned such things before. She blocks the door in a sort of half-hearted attempt at keeping Taiga in, which is like her half-hearted attempt earlier to not advertise the chocolates. While it is
unusual for her, the observer, to take action, it's not like she hasn't before and it is in her character.
As for Haruta, well, we've never seen him outside of school or school-related events, so he might have gotten a girlfriend yesterday, or before the school year even started. I thought what he said in class, "A school is a place to study", was more or an even-an-idiot-could-tell-you-that kind of thing, rather than some thoughtful consideration of the world around him.
