Tsukihime, Lunar Legend (çœŸæœˆèš æœˆå§« ,Shingetsutan Tsukihime?), also known simply as Lunar Legend Tsukihime (the English title of the manga, and distributed versions of the anime series across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australasia, and other regions) is a 12-episode Japanese anime television series, produced by J.C.Staff, and adapted from TYPE-MOON's highly successful visual novel, Tsukihime.
Directed by Katsushi Sakurabi, it was originally broadcast from October 9 to December 25, 2003, and has been broadcast in Japan by TBS, BS-i, and the anime television network Animax, who have also later broadcast the series across its respective networks worldwide, including its English-language networks (under the title Lunar Legend Tsukihime, the series' only English language broadcasts) in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and its other networks in East Asia, South America and other regions. The title Tsukihime, Lunar Legend is only used in Geneon's North American DVD releases. The music for the series was composed by Toshiyuki ÅŒmori and has been released in two soundtracks, recently as of October 2008, ADV Films acquired the rights to Tsukihime through their new Japanese licensor Sentai Filmworks.
