Same with me, that kind of ending kinda made me upset, because it just seems like some effort to prolong the popularity or just to mind-raep the audience. On the other hand those type of ending maybe fun sometimes, like giving hope to see more and something.

Lelouch is alive and became immortal with C.C, they move to New Zealand to open Pizza Hut there until one time Kallen go there and order pizza hut just to find out lelouch is the delivery boy.
Depends on how they do it, it could be acceptable. Code Geass is acceptable since we do have the idea what happened to the characters and how they affected the environment/event in the anime. Now, if you watched Zeorymer(old mecha anime), that's the type of the ending I do not like which really dissapoints me considering how good the story is...
