true, anime and manga is one of their major cultural export and it attract people to go to japan.

I don't really see the big problem. Most of the anime I watch isn't available in America when I watch it (and I'm not going to wait a year to watch it, just so I can see it "legally"), and I can never afford to buy anime anyway.

No manga would be bad, because there are a few series I refrain from reading online so I can buy the books and carry them around and read them without a computer, but if it happened, I could still live with it.

I doubt Japan will decide not to ship anime anymore, but the possibility that they will crackdown on downloading remains. If that day ever arrives, which is already taking place in certain countries, alternatives have to be found, with examples including manga, and maybe hentai.
