Same on the point about Shinkai Makoto's works; if I had to pick one I think it would be Voices of a Distant Star. Dramatic and succinct without overstaying its welcome. Loved it.

And depending on how technical you want to get Batman – Gotham Knight was pretty damn sweet as well

I would say spirited away is my favorite anime movies since I don't watch much anime movies.

VAMPIRE HUNTER D BLOODLUST...one kick ass anime movie ever...storyline,action,characters,theme songs and all other stuffs are top notch...even the dubbing actors for english version is the best...GREATEST ANIME MOVIE OF ALL TIME 8)
