Alright, let me start by saying that I can still overlook some of its animation woes. This is still a pretty good series nonetheless and I trust you guys would agree, correct? I have no doubts about that, since I'm still hooked, despite the drop in its animation quality (considering that it was done by "Seven Arcs" :? ); the overall plot has been holding up strong and it hasn't let me down so far. I'm merely frustrated with Touya's developments.
Anyway, just as I anticipated, Rina wasn't able to stop Touya from seeing Yayoi; instead, things have just gotten worse. And eventually, Rina had decided to pass-on Yuki's entire message to Touya, word for word... which brought him nothing but tears. And supposedly, that's a good sign of guilt and regret (but on the latter part)... For a moment, when he was reminiscing a bit of the past, I've somewhat felt his pain.
He immediately calls Yuki but unfortunately, no luck. Surprisingly, there were already voice mails/recorders at that time (1986)! :o So Yuki did receive Touya's short but very important message that he would be watching her concert. Yuki, who was trying very hard to change herself, held-off from returning the call, despite hearing about the "letter" and her desire to talk with her beloved Touya of course. (She had to cry as well) - which is just understandable. Seriously, the first half of this episode was quite painful to watch.
Time now for the much wackier second half. So Touya's hunt for Yuki's concert ticket has began! So he practically called every single ticket outlets in hope that he could still purchase one, but to no avail. He told Mana about it and that girl just made me burst out in laughter once again. She made me forget about the serious issues that Touya has been dealing with. Apparently, the cycling session wasn't canceled even with the rain. :lol: Mana conveyed what Touya had told her on to Haruka, who assumed that it was Yuki's fault and rushed off to somewhere. Later that night, it was Misaki's turn to know about the details. The flow of events were quite a bit hilarious, really. :lol:
..........
@spalose
Are you satisfied now? Mana certainly didn't look like crap this time around. :lol:
..........
A shocking :shock: revelation! Mana's Mom was in fact the manager of that all-girl (bitches) group, who's competing against Eiji. (though she seemed to be losing atm) :P - and that explains why Mana is knowledgeable about the music scene/industry.
It turned out that all of them just wanted to help Touya with the ticket, each in their own way. Awww, how sweet and thoughtful of them. Hey Touya! Make sure that you wouldn't fucking waste their efforts and don't forget to return the favor later on when you get the chance. I'm sure that he was deeply moved and was very grateful, as he even teared up yet again while he chowed on Misaki's cheesecake(?). - Just to add that the train station scene with Mana was my favorite part of this episode. :lol:
I kinda wondered about the portrait... Was that supposed to be Rina? :roll: And what's with Mana's mom and some others' intensive looks at it?
Let's say that they were surveying the concert venue, was there even a need to emphasize that they've managed to secure it?
Anyway, Tamaru, Tamaru, Tamaru... you scoundrel!! Thanks to Touya and the book, such a coincidence indeed that Misaki have just gotten it back which practically saved her life. My one and only message to Akira: GET OVER IT! (Misaki is all yours now) - he might have developed an inferiority complex towards Touya, I guess. (he always feel threatened by him for no reason at all)
Even Echoes "mute" master couldn't help but be concerned with Touya. Touya definitely needed one of those. But it didn't seem to have much of an effect... (he might have needed a couple more!) Honestly, I'm already getting sick of seeing him and Yayoi together! Much to say, their lip-locks and basically everything about their affair! I had enough of it!! YOU MUST RESIST! (FIGHT THE
POWER!) - I mean, fight the temptation! Is it really that hard?! Just think about the one whom you really love, for crying out loud!
The episode ends with Touya entering the concert venue while Yuki's stage was all set. This is really it, huh...
Now, I somewhat feel like discussing with the rest of you guys who're watching this. There's definitely a lot of uncertainties and that's where the second season comes in to play. Of course, we'll deal with that later. The main focus should be directed at the season-ender. How will the first season come to a close? (honestly, I have no idea)
