I can agree with Makoto, but Tsukune perhaps not. I mean he does have an unwanted harem, but he does man up mid series of the first R+V and definitely got stronger in the second one. If you mean personality wise regarding his love for Moka then yes I do agree with that actually.

There are lots of people who are weak as fuck but strictly using the word "Wuss" ive gotta say that Koshiro Saeki from Koi Kaze takes the freaking biscuit!

Usopp may act like a coward from time to time, but still, even if he's afraid, he gets the job done, and with this current time skip, he's even more of a badass.

Mostly (if not all) male protagonist in harem story can be classified as the biggest wusses.
Makoto is the extreme example.

Makoto Itou may have been laying lots of pipe, but he was an asshat without any concern for anything else. This is fine in hardcore porn, but a very unappealing quality otherwise.

Unfortunatly all main characters in a harem anime are pretty much all cookie cut outs of each other (admit it almost all of them are glasses wearing ronin's) and even if they don't physically look the same they have the same personality archtype so i have to agree with you

There are plenty of people who will not be able to "do what has to be done" even in the worst of situations. It's like when people ask would you be able to shoot a man, most folks would say yes but really you won't know if you could until you've been put in that sort of situation.

Keep in mind that Ikari is in the mind set of a 14 year old child who has essentially been forced to fight a war as a child soldier, war doesn't treat the mind of a 14 year old child kindly. We should cut the poor guy some slack.

Anyway I reckon Shinn Asuka is the biggest wuss I've ever seen, his sister-complex and blind reasoning lead to him being conned from the start of the series to the very end.

I have to disagree, he's not a wuss, wuss implies he's afraid to hold any kind of weapon and has no independence. Which is incorrect, sure he's pretty much defenseless the entire time but we're talking about an anime with demons that would eat your guts out before you could say 'Clare'. But again the real defenseless characters are the ones who try to avoid conflict anyway possible. Such as Shinji, if it wasn't for his pathetic display of crappy development Evangelion would have been entertaining but his stupidity forced two shitty movies down our throats not including the current new editions which make him kinda Gar. Oh and most of Gundam Seed Destiny are a bunch of pussies especially Cagalli who fails whenever she sits in a cockpit.

I recently started reading the "To-love Ru" manga. (I saw the anime)
Man, Yuuki Rito is the biggest wuss. Hands down. I'd bang Lala, Haruna, Nana, Momo, Run, Yui, Yami and Mikan (fuck I don't care if it's incest she's hot).
Probably I'd get the same end as Makoto in school days, but I don't care, I'd deserv that. lol

Definitely Shinji Ikari in the original Neon Genesis Evangelion. Honestly, there were so many times in the show that I wish I could have slapped some sense into him. In Rebuild Evangelion, however, I have to admit he was fucking badass and didn't wine as much.
