Yakuza Girl

Summary

Senguu Fumihiro is a young boy that made a promise to his dying grandmother to find a good wife for himself. With this intention he enrolls in a prestigious school but on the first day his world turns upside down when all the students begin to kill each other and one of them even turns into a monster. He is saved by a girl named "Akari" sent by one of the factions that rule the school to protect him.

I like everything about this manga except for the MC, but that could change over time...Although, he does have a cool power...

I don't quite get the direction that manga is going in... considering in every chapter they'r always fighting for power and reputation. There's also many other mysteries that have yet to be revealed, so I'm holding onto my pants for now for this manga.

The story is not bad, but that guy, his motives, and his actions are lame.

It's just weird, but an enjoyable little read if you're not expecting any intelligence from it.

Yeah, this series was way too rushed for it not to have been canceled. It had the same kind of feel that the end of Mx0 had when it ended. Just as soon as it was getting started it just ended. They'd barely introduced the characters.

Ah well. It was a mediocre series at best, anyway. The art was nice, though.

I just finished the series on OneManga and... god, I can't help it, but in every single chapter, I felt like the story changed every two or three pages?

Oh my god what a horrible ending to a manga with such promise

So I decided to read this just because, and it was completely different from what I was expecting (judging from the topic's opening picture), but in a good way.

There might have been some predictable parts, and the side characters didn't get much depth, but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. There were some funny memorable frames in it. The quick action and fast paced plot sort of worked for it. Ending wasn't that bad, saw it coming, and I've seen/read worse.

Even though I'm kind of glad it finished things off and that it didn't go on for a while longer, it's a shame it got canceled (supposedly), I wouldn't have minded a couple more chapters.

*nod read it on onemanga as well. It reminded me of one of the first mangas I read Tenjou Tenge.

The manga had the potential to expand further and going back into the past to reveal more of the story about the ex-incestous clan leader and Reiko, providing some background info on the other guys in main character's clan. It was getting kinda confusing with people being introduced for no reason other than to be killed off or disappear. Like the security council head.

Another thing that was funny was how Akari would bind her boobs for no reason. I defintely prefer the breast binded Akari but thats not really an issue. I figured Senguu would grow to love Akari for her personality instead of her body/boobs even though he came into the academy looking for boobs to squeeze and a wife to take home.

Overall, felt like I was reading a Hentai manga with plot; which is a great thing of cos but wasn't what I was looking for when I started reading it. Its like the mangaka spent a week brain-storming on all possible connections/twists etc and decided to cram them all into an essay.

Edit: Also the cover art totally does not do justice to the art in the manga. The art is alot better inside.

I'm waiting for the volume translations to come out because supposedly they are very different, much better, and a lot more graphic.

Chapters 4 onwards I believe are the more graphic version as nipples can be seen in there. The previous chapters had hair covering the nipples or they were just missing.
