so without further ado:
Whats your means of getting new Anime?
I know there are a couple of ways, for example streaming sites (i dont like those, afterall i think there are a lot of good quality anime out there, and it would be sad to stream them), or torrent downloads.
Okay, sure, you can always buy the dvd when it releases, but i dont want to wait for releases which propably wont be existent in my litte corner of the world.
So, on to the main question: Can you recommend a torrent site with almost all the anime? Even those licensed ones (like Fullmetal Alchemist, really like that one)?
My last source was Mininova...but somehow it got killed...
Hmm. Could be true, but as i am not requesting anything in particular, aside from personal preferences and i think that there are different opinions on this, i would say its more a discussion than a specific request.
MOST (if not all) groups put their releases on that site shortly after release. Probably one of the best sites to search for anime torrents.
http://www.nyaatorrents.org/
Also a good site but pretty much has everything tokyotosho has with a few exceptions. A good amount of fansubs use the nyaatorrents tracker and that requires them to be uploaded to website. Makes it nice for searching.
Checking the groups irc or website is also a good way to check for releases.
I think it is good to mention that some groups torrents do not work atm since as of two days ago a tracker called btx was taken down (or atleast torrents moved, its fairly confusing situation atm) Meaning the groups have to resubmit some torrents. Groups like gg, who is subbing like half this seasons shows, are effected by this. The torrents are still linked on the tracker just not hosted there anymore meaning some links to the torrent on sites like TT won't work. Need to get them from the groups site until they fix this issue.
A little off-topic: Could you tell me which series your avatar belongs to, Asphodel? I seem to remember it, but cant point it out atm. So i am quite curious.
If you want to have a lot of control, you can first figure out which shows are airing each season, and then see which groups are subbing the shows you want to watch.
GetFansub's wiki is a good place to get both:
http://getfansub.com/wiki/Default
For example, I see that Fairy Tail comes on this season. I click it and get to Fairy Tail's page, which lists the many groups subbing the show. I can then follow links to the various groups and see what they have released so far, how often they release, and so on. The subbing groups' sites should also have links to torrents to download the episodes, or an IRC channel where you can download the episodes.
I always felt to lazy to look for the upcoming series beforehand, but thinking about it now the other way round, perhaps it would be easier doing this ...
But Rovencrone, u realy got me there. Exptected something awesome, but argh, google!
I guess u are right that that would work, if (!) you know what u are looking for. That often isnt the case for me 0.o
It was a sad sad day when mininova got killed, she was my prime source of all almost all my torrent needs. I also DL my anime at tokyotosho.info or also you can check out fansub.tv if you prefer it to have some sample pics and reviews.
