This post contains spoilers.
I absolutely loved the first season, but now I think it might have been only becasue nothing better was airing that (anime) season.
But the second season has left me in despair, as someone who knew what happens in the novels I looked forward to Saito's epic death.
But I'll come back to that later. I mean seriously, what was the deal with this series? Killing of Colbert was unessacary and felt forced. And the whole series degraded into a fanservice blob. I can understand that people want to see their favorite character "servicing" them, but I thought everyone would see that the amounts in this anime were too much.
It felt like they needed the fanservice to sell...
And now for some novel spoilers:
In the Novel Louise got depressed and tried to kill herself after Saito died.
So I was looking forward to see the tsun times ten Louise finally acting dere. A dead Saito and a depressed Louise would have left a much better cliffhanger for the third season.
But the writers had to be fags and get a happy "back to square one" ending where Saito is alive and is being chased by Louise around because that's the way it always was. It kinda remined me of Ranma 1/2, in the end they make all that happened void and think they please their fans with it when they actually don't.
They are probably just too afraid to piss of some people, so they just piss of everyone instead.
Well, enough of this. I'll go back to reading the novels and hoping they'll do better on the third season.
BTW: I'd be willing to bet money on the fact that they're going to do a third series, now having a new character they can do fanservice with.
