Doujinshi Library

With the addition of the two official doujin releases, Cure Assort and Bosshi's XXX MiX, I'm wondering how exactly we should display them in your profile. Right now we have a books tab that I want to keep specifically for FAKKU Books releases (gotta collect em all), how does everyone think we should handle doujins? Maybe we should just add another tab?

And there will be more official doujins coming to FAKKU, a lot more.

I'd say add a doujins tab and maybe a magazine one as well for whenever that comes about.

Unless it breaks something I don't see any harm in adding another library, easier to get to and furthers the "I need them all"-ness when you can see what you're missing!

Dojinshi tab definitely can't hurt. Creates further organization and perhaps expands to a different audience of collectors (or budget), like people that enjoy dojinshis more than manga.

I was hoping you guys would make one of those but a suggestion since you say there will be A LOT more to come maybe a option to view the tabs in list form without the picture or maybe just make them a bit smaller cause other wise the list could eventually become difficult to navigate

I was thinking of a new tab too. For now I just made a collection called 'Doujin Purchases', as well as another called 'Fakku Book Gifts' since those didn't seem to have any other organization to them either.

The fact that you have the collection system in place means it's not a big deal in the meantime though.

I rather the tab be inside the books. Since it fakku content. More front page tabs just become more smashed together after time. That assuming your keeping the manga and doujinshi tabs for free content later.

I'm all for adding another tab.. and if it's not to much instead of adding another tab something this.

Oh I second this, nested tabs look cleaner.

Is Bosshi's XXX Mix really not going to be available in physical edition to those who can't drop hundreds or thousands to make it to Anime Expo?

All doujinshi works tend to be limited prints for a certain event, and I think it's quite possible it will sell out, so the physical copy will likely be AX exclusive.

Just because that's how Japan does it doesn't mean that's how it should be done in the US. But oh well, guess I'll just have to do without since I don't buy digital.

Yeah I'd love a physical copy too, really disappointed it will be a limited print. I mean digital is better than nothing but still, exclusives only available at specific locations are the worst IMO.

Yeah I sometimes forget it, but it's a lot more feasible in Japan just because of the size of the country and the population density. Even then, it still sucks when fans can't always get them.

I think that adding a new tab is probably the best/fastest way to go about it.

That being said, with the amount of manga/doujins you're likely to add, you may want to think about adding toggles to let us 'only display content you don't own' so we won't have to flip through pages of stuff including what we do already own.

Something else that can be done with toggles is tags. Toggle on a few tags and let people perform a search for whatever books or doujins meet that criterion. This can be combined with the 'owned content' toggle so that people can quickly search for new books that they don't own that has content they are interested in.

Of course, something like this probably wouldn't be very helpful until you've got 20 or more books, but at the rate you're going it probably won't be long.
