[TSF no F] I Am a Succubus?

Slowly but surely, we will be adding more doujinshi back to FAKKU. Doujinshi are works that are published directly by the artist/circle, not through a Japanese publishing company. That's why doujinshi are mostly based on existing anime, because the artist released it on their own as a fan themselves. Bosshi's XXX Mix and Cure Assort are examples of doujinshi that we (and Yuri-ism) have worked with the artists to release. All doujinshi will be available on the store.
Part of publishing doujinshi and bringing it back to FAKKU requires us to convince each individual artist that working with FAKKU is a good idea. Remember these artists mostly view foreigners as pirates which is something we are responsible for given our history.
During my last trip to Japan I met with several circles and discussed bringing their work back to FAKKU legally. Everyone I spoke with is excited to work with us, we've made a massive impact on the Japanese market and they see FAKKU as a platform to release their work worldwide. Long-term, my goal is to allow for all content on FAKKU to be available to subscribers to read online with the option to purchase a high quality digital download for anyone interested. For now the plan is to release them as a purchasable items added to your library like our books, and then after a week or two they will be available to read for subscribers.
You'll be seeing a lot more doujinshi coming to FAKKU over the next few months, the first of which is "I Am a Succubus?" by TSF no F (a circled focused on telling genderbend stories). As always if you like something you read leave a comment! The artists/circles themselves now frequent FAKKU and read your feedback.

It's great that more Japanese artists are changing their views on the western audience, I hope that in the future when several more Doujins are available on the site you would consider compiling them into a full compilation book, with Doujins by various artists.
I just feel that is more feesable then picking a select few and printing hard copies.
Really looking forward to see what the rest of 2016 has in store for FAKKU. (Insert smiley face)

We'll have to wait and see what the numbers say to see if doujinshi is a viable product on here considering that some lack a lot of content compared to books.

The price per page compared to FAKKU's other offerings is rather high. Yet it's definitely not unreasonable compared to the real, physical item. But comparatively just about everything else gives a lot more bang for my buck. It almost seems like you're kind of competing with yourselves here. Of course if these are still being added to the subscription library, then that makes it even harder to judge.
But anyway, pretty interesting. Hope to see more, hope to snatch some up for myself. If the doujinshi releases pick up maybe there could be a higher subscription tier? Not sure how that would work, just a passing thought.

Maybe that's the minimum price Fakku needs in order to make the smallest bit of profit, but eh.

Our books are just too good of a value! This doujinshi came out the same time in Japan (a few days ago), the English release on FAKKU is actually less expensive than the Japanese release.

Oh I'm sure the doujinshi is more expensive in Japan. I've bought doujinshi for much more. But it's like you said--your books are too good of a value lol. And, maybe it's just me, but after having the digital downloads for 2 some odd years getting me 200 pages for $10, I suppose I've become complacent with that level of value and don't appreciate it as much. But that's my fault I guess lol.

The only real comparison in price I know of is 2D Market. Doujins of the same page count as this go for around $2,50, making this very expensive in comparison. Although Fakku's quality is much better, it's still on the expensive side, although it gets added to subscription 2 weeks later. That is a big plus.
If the prices would go down I would be a lot more tempted in buying the doujin instead of waiting for it to be available on the subscription.

While that may be true, your audience here on Fakku has no connection to the Japanese market (meaning we dont directly buy from them for the most part). As such we are not used to their prices and value expectations - we just have Fakku to go by. I think you have to take into the account your own consumer base and what they have come to expect price wise if you want this to be a success.

Hey guys. The doujinshi didn't originally have a cover but F (TSF no F) got one to us so you can expect the pdf and on site reader to be updated with this little beauty by Kurimochi Chizuru later today.

Sorry for the delay! And the typo we had. Still working out some kinks.

For now, we chose a price point that is in line with the Japanese market. A 20-30 page doujin (digital or physical) is typically sold for 50-75% the price of a 210-230 page book, and you can often get a 400 page magazine for less. It's also worth repeating that you don't pay any extra for the localization, and we do all the localization work for free without charging the artists, all while offering some of the best quality English manga releases in the West.
We know that many of us don't have a good reference point when it comes to pricing of hentai, but comparing commercial manga to doujinshi is like to comparing blockbuster movies or AAA games with indie projects. There are a lot of similarities, such as the people involved working for little to no compensation and hardly any financial gain. They're all driven by a passion for what they do, and the cover above is a great example of that. They weren't commissioned or had any obligation to do so, but chose to draw it in part due to our collaboration and the release of the English version.
That said, this is the very first release from our new doujinshi project that we've been working on since the beginning of the year. We're in talks with with a handful of circles and artists right now (many of which we've met with in person in Japan), and before we contact anyone else, the next step is figuring out the best way to make their works available through FAKKU. Once we have a solid system in place, the plan is to open up to any artist or group who is interested.
There's no doubt in my mind that we're offering one of the best alternatives for artists when it comes to English distribution. There's some more tweaking required on the distribution side of things, but as soon as we have a model that the users are happy with as well, I think this will become a massive force for good in the doujinshi scene.

We weren't directly involved in the release of Bestiary 3 so we can't speak to whether or not it's getting a physical release. That said, any doujinshi we publish ourselves (like this one) will not have a physical release.

It would be cool if you could offer physical compilations for certain series one day, if possible.

Just purchased my copy. The cover definitely caught my attention. Thank you for making these downloadable. I may not purchase all of them but I will grab those that catch my eye.
On a similar note, I remember there were thoughts about making the subscriptions downloadable after the beginning of the year. Has there been any further progress on that? I have very little time to read anything online and am very grateful that the books are downloadable. I keep my subscription going in hopes that I will be able to download and read them also at some point.
