Thanks for the clarification. In a way, they have not been doing well imo since they keep betraying readers expectations. First they worked on Comic Koh and GirlsForM, then said they would be relegated to be extra slots once they finish the other magazines, then they acquired more magazines that they yet can't fulfill at a timely manner, and then in your data other magazines like Shitsurakuten or X-Eros will have mostly a 70%/80% completion rate...I don't find this an improvement at all, especially since anything other than Kairakuten is basically treated as less important.
At times I want another competitor to arrive and do a better job than whatever the hell is going on right now. Look at Orcsoft's game getting released this month when it was supposed to be in the summer, even the afterstory didn't get translated and I only found out through the comments. For published doujin works, They wanted to leave sound effects untranslated and sequels of their published works would've been inconsistent in quality had they didn't receive a blowback from the community and kept it as is. They got more magazines, sure, but they can't even publish them completely and I don't want to pay for unfinished magazines and gamble that my favorite artist will make it or not.
Meh, whatever, YQII has already made a January to June thread and Jacob will ignore all criticism like he always does.
I finally had the chance to have the data in front of me. This will be the last time i talk about this subject on this thread.
After looking through the data i've gathered, I can confirm that yes, once a magazine hits the threshold i mentioned, there is a chance that it will "go cold" for a around two or more months. However, this statement applies to all Wani Magazines, with Kairakuten and Beast being less likely to go cold. I just want to reiterate:
If an issue hits the threshold, there is a chance it will go cold. However, this does not mean in anyway that FAKKU has stopped working on the issue. The following trend shows up, particularly for X-Eros and Shitsurakuten: The issue hits the threshold, it possibly goes cold. If it does, then something is released in a month or so. If the issue isn't completed after that release, then it repeats.
I think prime reason why X-Eros and Shitsurakuten are affected in this manner is because of when they are released in Japan. YQII has mentioned on another thread before that they get swamped with chapters in a short period of time each month and this makes sense when you consider when the X-Eros and Shitsurakuten release in Japan. Shitsurakuten comes out in the middle of the month while X - Eros at the beginning of the following month. If you include that Beast and Bavel come out in the middle of the month as well while Kairakuten comes out at the end of the month, you can see the clusterfuck the team gets in during the middle of the month (and this is not even considering Dascomi, Weekly Kairakuten and the thiccccc magazine that is Aoha). Now why does Kairakuten and possibly Bavel go cold less often? I believe it is because those two magazine are the flagships for their respective publishing companies, so it makes sense that X-Eros and Shitsurakuten (and maybe Dascomi) get pushed back a little.
This post is not meant to bash FAKKU in anyway or was intended to be viewed as a complaint.
This post is meant as a call for all of us to be patient. Because remember, despite the insane increase in work load for the team, the completion rates for most of the magazines is at minimum, the same as it was in 2018 if not better. I hate to sound like an apologist, but I feel that we all need to remember that FAKKU added these magazines in part because they felt that they could handle it in such a manner where our subscription cost did not increase. Does this mean two magazines may have a later completion time? Possibly, but i feel that is a fair exchange since in the larger scale,
it is astounding that they are still able to crank out all of these releases they do with their incredibly crunched time frame, all while we see no subscription fee increase. And it is for that i am still happily subscribed to this service.
Now, i need to go hide in the shadows for a good long time and hammer in the last nail in my coffin because of the reputation-suicide i just committed on these two posts.
