In addition to the new previews which allow you to read the first couple pages of most content on the site, we're now expanding the new user experience on FAKKU by introducing
a free content rotation! Some aspects will likely change and evolve over time, but here's the rundown of the feature at launch:
Starting today, users will be given
a selection of completely free to read chapters from the subscription, with the lineup changing each week on Saturday (midnight UTC, afternoon/evening in North America). Each round will have around ten chapters--a quantity comparable to a regular book release.
This first week will feature
11 chapters and over 250 pages, handpicked from some of our recent book authors.
The weekly selection can be found at the top of
the front and
unlimited page for users without an active subscription.
This is roughly half the amount of the weekly FAKKU Unlimited offering, with the big caveat that subscribers get brand new chapters every day and full access to well over 10,000 releases in total. In other words, a subscription unlocks the remaining 99.9% of the library. However, we hope the free rotation can serve as an introduction to anyone who's curious about what the platform has to offer, and provide something for those not currently subscribed.
