Is Futabasha really an available editor? I'm seriously starting to doubt it! Furthermore it might be time for Fakku to make an effort to finally work with Mujiin ti.net especially given the number of very good artists who work with them, I'm not going to make a big deal out of it but I regularly chat with some of their authors and according to them this situation is really very strange, but hey only your site and Mujiin know what is going on so it is up to you to settle your differences with them because I sincerely doubt that you get along so well with Mujiin ti.net , Otherwise why would they refuse to work with you when they have the same policy as the Japanese publishers who already work with you? I think this question is a matter of common sense.

I am starting to think that something is wrong with FAKKU demands . For example Jacob said 'Lastly, we're on good terms with pretty much every publisher we've been in contact with. Some still have their reasons to not pursue licensing for the time being, and we respect their wishes in that regard.' and that includes Hit Publishing which includes artists like my favorite Shiwasu no Okina . How a much smaller western hentai publisher(that i will not name here) can publish books from them and yet Jacob said 'These publishers are currently not interested in overseas/uncensored distribution, or we're still negotiating.' I don't understand . We both mentioned different publishers but I am starting to think that there is a common ''problem'' that is not created by the Japanese publishers . There are just my suspicions but it's been almost a decade since Jacob created this thread and what he wrote in it.

I completely agree with you and as you mentioned, there are books which are part of Japanese publishers unavailable at FAKKU but which are sold by smaller Western publishers, moreover you mentioned Shiwasu no Okina so I think I know what book you are talking about, given that I saw it myself, so there is necessarily a problem, moreover one of the Japanese artists with whom I speak regularly told me that there There were quite negative things in Fakku's requests of course I'm not going to elaborate, but at this stage it might be time for this thread to be updated in relation to the available publishers because if customers make requests for books which are with available publishers but in the end FAKKU publishes almost no books from this publisher it still poses a big problem but what I find the most problematic coming from FAKKU is that they say that certain Japanese publishers are unavailable to them while other smaller Western publishers publish books from its so-called unavailable publishers, it's clearly weird and you'd have to be blind not to see it.

If someone told you we don't work with a publisher, I'm willing to bet that's a quote from several years ago. Things change over time, and negotiations often take months if not year between a publisher changing their stance and a license being announced. Case in point, we just revealed a ti-net (Mujin) book at our Anime Expo panel yesterday--which I think has only been announced in the #general channel on the FAKKU discord.
It's also important to clarify that artists aren't employees, but contractors who mainly communicate with the publisher through an editor. Given the chain of us > publisher > editor > artist, it's not unreasonable to imagine miscommunications happening, or that information is intentionally omitted at some step in the process. Once again, hope to get atleast one book from Rocket Monkey, which has just been released - some western publishers have got their hands on this artist before, so I don't think it will be difficult. I think it is time to explore other publishers as well.
