Harajuku's fashion sense

Okay. I was born with kigurumi fashion since my sisters were born in Harajuku. As a child I grew with different fashions from Harajuku such as:


Gwen Stefani has back-up dancers called Harajuku Girls, and because of that more than half of America thinks and assumes that Gwen was the person who made the fashion trend. It did help with getting people to try the trend and expand it. But, it is annoying to hear others try it on, yet they do not know of it's origin.

So, any comments or thoughts about Harajuku's fashions? ;D

Harajuku is a place in Japan where teens go there at a certain time to cosplay or show off there fashion and entertainment.
Best part is free hugs from girls. ;D

There's a book called "Fruits" which shows off Harajuku style.

I think I saw that somewhere at Boarders next to the hot cosplay asian girls books.

FRUiTS started out as a magazine showcasing Japanese street style, and then later, the two books were compiled from existing issues. The place I work sells the books, so I spend a good chunk of time flipping through them.




I've got to get my hands on one of those cow suits, though.

I've only been to the Shinjuku area, Tokyo, and Yokohama. (And one more but I forgot) As far as I can say, I feel that Harajuku's fashion sense is somewhat questionable as I would rather be dead than be caught wearing something like that. Too many damn accessories, makeup, and hair gel/spray/wax if you ask me.

Uhh, I though Harajuku was 2 things, Harajuku station & the teen fashion district behind Shibuya. Forgive me if I'm wrong but, isn't it Yoyogi park where teens who cosplay and wear the colorful, interesting clothes are?

in Finland at Cons, there are lot of girls carrying signs "Free Hugs" =o

Too much stuff to wear, which makes it heavy, in some cases makes me look overweight and kind of hot.
