It could happen...

Well, I'm going to do my best to get to a convention this year; Anime Expo looks good.

I'm thinking of simple characters I know of that I could cosplay as; clothes I could buy at freaking Target lol.

so far I'm thinking Naota from FLCL would be easy and fun. The problem is I'm 6'2". Would I be looked at like a fool for cosplaying a kid character?

I think you might be a bit too tall for him, simply because he's supposed to be on the short side to begin with. o _o

I say just do it.. If you are really into the character then go ahead and try it out.

I think pulling it off will be hard with your height, so in the end it will be reliant on how well you can make the costume. If people can catch on who you are from your costume then you have succeeded.
