New York Comic Con/Anime Festival

I imagine that Fakku will get booth in Utah a few days before hell freezes over. (T_T)

Was anyone else disappointed that the NYAF part was so small? I figured it'd be split 50/50 with NYCC.

well, comics are from america. and americans are stubborn like that.

but it's still a fun event.
got to watch Starcraft 2, met stan lee, saw lots of hot cosplayers.
i even got to buy some CHICKEN shirts! ^_^

FINALLY they're gonna put Summer Wars in theaters here? Took them long enough...
I'd pay to go see it, for sure. And of course get the DVD. However, in the meantime I am still using my fansubbed one...

This year was defiantly smaller in anime stature. I found it hard to find Artist ally but when i did it made it seem much Bigger!

the Comicon section did over run the NYAF but i find myself on both boats so i wasn't in a hurry to complain!

This year i got my hen-tai shirt (which i had to wait a year for since i lost my wallet last year) and best of yet news.. jacob signed it, took a pic with me and we formed a bearded club exclusive to only us lmao!

My thoughts on NYAF/NYCC was mixed. Long story short, I came away unsatisfied. It felt like something was missing and that it could have been a lot better. Yes, its true, this con had a lot more exclusive stuff; Minori Chihara panel/spotlight, and a the Gundam 00 premiere. (which I have a whole long lengthy post about that later) These panels/screenings were awesome, while the other lacked a lot of the anime/otaku spark I have become accustomed to. Maybe its the fact we didn't get to hang out with Jacob this time, (not his fault, manning the booth must have been exhausting.) or maybe its the fact I didn't get to participate in as many panels as I had wanted to, but it was genuinely disappointed. The whole otaku collective didn't seem present and a lot of jackasses in did a lot of...jackassery. Now I'm not a oversensitive fag, I screamed "ROCK ON" at the Gundam screening, mocking the engrish in the original series, but when I hear "THIS IS NO ZAKU, BOY!" 80 times over a span of 20 seconds, its gets annoying, fast. Also we lined up at the Gundam screening 3 hours ahead of time, and some faggots had the nerve to cut in front of me? I snapped and scared the shit outta them, "BACK OF THE LINE MOTHERFUCKERS!" I think is scared some people, properly. Some cosplayers that tried to cut in front of me looked like they were about to CRY.

Secondly, GODDAMN IT WAS CROWDED! Also, without being biased, I don't like american comics, so that didn't do well for my opinion. Still I had a fun, just not as much as I thought I would. I come from Canada, and making the trip, aside from meeting Jacob again, just wasn't worth it. See you boys at another con, at another day.

Haha, I actually remember that. My friend and I timed our lining up perfectly, we actually started the unofficial line at about 12, which later gained so many people that security made it the official line. The premier was TOTALLY worth the entire price of admission and the long drive down from Vermont xD
