What was your first cosplay?

Thought I'd make a thread about this topic comrades!

I remember my first cosplay. It was a Zaku II me and a friend made 2 days before we went to A-KON back in 2010. It was mad out of a BMX helmet, a Tae Kwon Do chestpad, and of course, cardboard. Even made a craft foam heat hawk, and turned a Guncon controller into a machine gun. Thats the story with mine, now lets hear yours comrades!

I actually cosplayed as Light Yagami from Death Note as my first cosplay(this was when I was heavy into death note) I did his typical school uniform, but the sleeves where far to big and lapped over my hands that and it was really hard to stay comfortable with a heavy jacket on. though from what my friends told me I actually looked the most like Light the way I had my hair and everything, so I guess it turned out fine.

At the time when I went to my first con I had a huge fro so I really didn't have too many options so I went as afro samurai. But I like to do things my way with a twist kinda so I wore a japanese school uniform instead of his outfit and carried around two bokken. All in all I got a badass pic with a Jinno that happened to be there. His bear head was pretty damn legit. Sure it wasn't 100% to what it should've been but people thought I was pretty badass since the hair was real xD

My first, and only so far, was as Gendo Ikari from NGE.

My first convention I went out of costume and was mocked in front of my girlfriend at the time for it. They tried anyway... They asked me who I was supposed to be sarcastically and ever the asshole I am I replied "a guy with a real girlfriend and better things to do with my time than create an elaborate costume I'll only wear once. Get out of my way I've got things to do and shit to see here."... You could've heard a pin drop.

I tried it later though and it was fun, I just wasn't going to let some idiots in generic tri-gun, inu yasha and yu yu hakusho costumes talk down to me.

Cosplayed last January first by accident though i dont know if youd call it a cosplay.

it was cold so i borrowed a jacket from my dad since we have a difference in pysique the jacket was pretty short in my body and i was wearing a white shirt, wearing black gloves and was wearing black pants and shoes the jacket had the words Lion on its back

i accidentally cosplayed as Squall going to work (--,) only when one of my coworkers pointed it out to me did i realize i just did cosplay

Being androgynous is awesome. Next con I'm going to, I'm going to be Dead Master from Black Rock Shooter.

my first was actually last AX, me and my bud went as space marines from the SOS Brigade Chapter... though they fell appart as soon as we got to the convention center.... DAMN YOU UPS!!!!!!

My 1st was, a box man. (trying to be a robot but fail)

First cosplay EVER was a shitty Luffy. It was for a convention, so I cut a red shirt and bought a straw hat.
Second costly was Luffy again, but with a custom-made costume. I'm a gangly motherfucker, so I make a perfect Luffy.
Skipping over countless more, in October I'm going to the Anime Bonzai as Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I cosplayed Chico from boku no pico~ i quite good cosplay accually but yeah...

Oh gawd.....If only I can unsee that one...I almost got tricked into watching that one. Still, I say its an interesting choice for a cosplay.

My first cosplay was Akazukin from Tokyo Red Hood.
It was fun. No one knew who I was though.

I cosplayed Fionna from Adventure Time.

Wellmy first time Cosplaying was dressing up for work at a fundraising event. I went as Nurse Joy, and carried around a life size Pikachu plush for the day ^_^

But in a weeks time I'm going to AI-Con (My first time at an Anime Convention), and if my Costume is ready in time, I'll be dressing up as Yuna from Final fantasy X.

I dressed up as pikachu once for a fundraiser :D

my first cosplay was a crappy verison of Karou for Dir En Grey not my proudest moment as of now but then i thought i was the shit lol

My first cosplay was kyon all my friends were dressed as the other SOS brigade,luckly I am pro with sewing equipment, my friend who. dressed as Mikuru is a hair stylist so we all had totally pro costumes. We even won the cosplay event at comicon.
