What's the strangest shit thats happened to you at a con?

xD Last years Con I was walking through the building with a sign that said "Will Yuri for money" because my friend was making me because she hits hard.

and this guy actually tried to pay me but thankfully i didnt have my friend with me. xDDDDDDDDD because that would have just been very akward.

Hmm.. the only con I go too is Metrocon in Tampa,Florida.. God I love it.. Its the very first con to come up with the anime human chess matches.. Greatness ^^.. anyway I have gone to it since it started... I have seen some pretty wierd/kool shit... 1 year this guy went into the bathroom... and then like 5 girls went in after him.. I was like ooooo somthing up.. so i went in acting like i was going to use the bathroom and ended up being pulled into this massive orgy.. I coundt get away... :'(.. I was seriously scared.. but I just went with it... it was pretty fun.. then last year I saw this cute father daughter Ed Elric and Roy Mustang combo... the little girl pulled Ed off really well.. Lets see I ran into The white Ranger.. happened to be a girl.. umm ran into the real Black/Red ranger Adam/ aka Johny Yong Bosch.. he was kool... I met and spent the day with Vic Mignogna/ aka VA of Edward Elric... FMA... sometimes i feel that hes a bit "too" happy during cons.. umm ran into Scott Mcneal..(i think thats right) VA for Koga in Inuyasha. he had this long ass line for autographs... me and my group had to go.. so my friend ran up and cut the entire line got a pic and autograph and we left.. met Laura Baily and Lucy Christian, they where definitly cool ladys... If you dont know who I'm talking about then you FAIL at Anime alltogether! lets see.. hmm o and I saw this guy dressed as Eureka from Eureka Seven and I got really pissed(Eureka Seven is my Favorite anime of all time!) walked up to him and told him that hes disgracing the character Eureka and should take off the costume... I cosplayed as Aizen that year... and I was the only one in the place.. so I felt special..


Edit: I have been to E3 before.. The booths are amazing!I had to pre-order a pass though like 1 year in advance.. I think really only about 200 non-Video game personel can get in.. Im talking like Video game mags, G4, and other VG companys are the only ones who can get in... very hard.. and the passes are !VERY! expensive...

Hmm... For the the strangest thing would be walking with Chii in one arm, a geisha in the other in full cosplay in the middle of a shopping center pointing out chav's XD (I had no idea what one was so I was randomly pointing asking "Is that a chav!?!")

I then had a hand slapped over my mouth to keep me quiet XD

I kept running into a Squall cosplayer and I wanted to take his picture, but I got all nervous and so looked like a stalker every freakin time I ran into him. That was my first con too.

mmm i remember sakurcon 2009...omg is all i can say while at the night party some very large woman was wearing a leopard thong bikini and from about 40 ft away me and my freind were on the lookout and we thought omg look at that! when we got closer so to speak and we wondered over there and discovered the error of our ways. the night amounted to leaving,going to a bar, crying over a cpl beers.
and genrally ruined the rest of the night. it still haunts me..

At ax 2009 this person ran in to the booths screamed at the top of his lungs "I LOST THE GAME" a chorus followed. And when I was 14 i crossplayed as a french maid and got hit on by lesbians (and men too but that isn't funny).

During AX2008, my friend was doing Nagi Springfield cosplay. For a moment, I borrowed his cloak just to see myself in it. About a couple of seconds later, a random girl came to me, hugged me, and left.

one time some random girl (kinda hot on a scale of 1-10 she was a 7) told me to grab her breasts. now I'm dating her. that's the weirdest

hmm...weirdest thing was when I was walking with my friends and some random really tall guy in a cloak grabbed me by the shoulders and said "Is it past three?!?" and I said yes, and then he ran off into the crowd...I don't know who he was cosplaying as...I hope he was cosplaying...

I had cosplayed at this con. Someone tapped my shoulder, I turned around and this group of kids wanted to take a picture, and off course I agreed. But then they didn't want me in the picture, they had wanted my friend in the picture who wasn't dressed up at all.

I was baffled.

.... Shit, where to start.

Well, I'll make it short;

- I've been hit on by trap(s)

- Invited to rooms for; Strip parties (declined), sex parties (also declined, yes, I'm an idiot), and naruto parties (fucking declined).

- Hit on by yaoi fans... (shiver)

- Attacked by furries (don't ask)

- Was hugged by random women all day (don't know why)

- And was flashed by a Tifa cosplayer when walking down the hall in my hotel, to my room.


I'm seriously not sure whether I'm lucky, or unlucky.

Alas so have I...not pritty. For those Aussies out there that have been to Brisbane Supanova, Sailor Venus with a penis...the worst part...I knew him IRL and was fooled by him until I got closer (dammed short sightedness!)

Yaoi fans arn't scary as long as you A)know how to handle them B)have distraction devices (be it civil or military grade) and C) Lay down ground rules!



Now onto what I have seen over the years as a attendee and a vendor.

-Sailor Venus with a penis
-Man Faye
-Sailor Bubba
-A cosplayer who actually pulled there finger out and did a real ghilli suit cosplay from COD4 and actually ambushing people! (and it working due to him scouting the venue months in advance and making the suit to match the bushes)
-walking through Fortitude Valley in full cosplay freaking out the druggies and other assorted freaks that are in that area of Brisbane.
-Getting mistaken for Security by people when cosplaying! (including by other proper security guards! Total count for that cosplay (Dojo from Toshokan Sensō or Library wars in english) was 40 times mistaken for security.)
-Not getting reconised while cosplaying above cosplay
Now for the vendor stuff
-The usual stuff. Getting flashed for discounts, attempted distractions for people trying to knock off stuff, People moaning about prices being too high (which they arn't considering the cost of importing stuff from the US to Australia!).

Thats about it for me.

Anime Expo 2004 (my FIRST con)

I was staying with a group of 3 guys I was acquainted with and this girl my friends and I now know as "Polygons." She was given that name mainly because when she stayed with us, she walked around the hotel room nude. Now this would have been awesome, but she had a pretty masculine body and her boobs were more of a triangular shape, instead of round, which reminded my friends and I of the polygons of a PS1 game. Hence, why we know her as "Polygons."

Anyways, she got drunk off a couple of Smirnoffs and just started acting weird. One of my roommates tried to get her to get some rest, telling her that the floor was lava and that she should stay on the bed...Bad Idea! One of my other roommates, whom we know as "Assrun" was sleeping on the floor, along with me. When confronted by Polygons about the floor being lava, I told her that I had +5 Resistance to Lava. Surprisingly, she believed it. Assrun, on the other hand gave her the wrong answer and she went nuts. She jumped on him, crying because she thought he was dying from the lava (and I think she hit him a few times too). Eventually some of my friends got involved as she began to cry even more.

After about 5 minutes of crying, she abruptly stopped turned to my friends and said "That bitch crazy, huh." It was about this time, I was creeped out and thankfully my friends let me stay in their room for the remainder of the weekend.

My stories aren't too great but are pretty funny.

A couple of years ago, my friends and I got a hotel room for a weekend-long convention. One of my friends and I were chilling in the room Saturday night when someone knocked on the door. It was our friend Mason, who had come to the convention separate from us, with some of his friends. He was dressed as Naruto (and not the Shippuuden version). There stood a 20-something-year-old man in a bright orange outfit, in the hallway of a hotel that was a decent distance from the convention. He said, "Can I come in? Some people are chasing me." I let him in, and he said that they were drunk college kids or something. Then, there was another knock on the door. I opened it a crack, and there were four or five preppy-looking people, about our ages, who had been drinking. They asked about the guy in orange, laughing all the while, and I said that he was a friend of ours. They wouldn't go away, so I finally said, "Well, we're going to have gay sex now. Goodbye" and shut the door. As expected, they didn't knock again.

More recently, last year, my friend Matt and I were bored during the convention (nothing was happening during the day), so we decided to stand in the hotel elevator for a while and talk to whoever happened to get on. The hotel only had four floors. We stayed in there for a while, mostly talking to each other, but eventually, a few people started noticing that we weren't getting off. One kid (15 or 16 years old) even started staying with us. The best part was when a guy came in with a big backpack and a crate of bottled water. I asked for a bottle, and he told everyone to take as much as they wanted. He also told me to reach inside a pocket on the side of his backpack and pull out a big jar of apple sauce, that we of the elevator could have it. He even said we could have the metal spoon that was in there with it. Finally, he gave us some juice boxes and left.

It's sad that the most memorable moment of a convention took place in an elevator, isn't it?

Strangest, back in the Youmacon forums(2007) I kept hearing of this old dude that was cosplying as Jiraiya (never saw him when walking through the hallways), anyway I've kept hearing that he was like a real Jiraiya (Pervy Sage) as he started to grope people around the con and do other things which let to his excortation out of the con.

Then I remember that the cops where there one night looking for two people around the hotel (I think I saw them); anyway, later I hear that they found both running mates.

And during my first con, as I went to a Japanese restaurant to taste ramen, the flavor of the soup didn't made my day.

I had a miracle happen to me at a con. It was back at Fanime in 2008 and basically me and my friends all have a hotel room that's connected to the con. So it's in the morning around the time when everyone's coming out to the con floor. Course I was out there way earlier but I went up to drag my friends down xD But anyways haha so in order to get to the con floor we gotta take a elevator down and our room was pretty high up 0-0.

So basically after a lot of waiting were finally able to get in the elevator but its extremely packed. Like after we got in on the way down it stoped at every single floor but everyone in the elevator had to tell the people trying to get it "Sorry no room :/" and their really wasn't >_<BUT>_< but then a miracle happened. We got to go all the way from floor 17 to the con floor without stopping 0-0 That was my con miracle xD
