This message has also been sent directly to Jacob. I will be posting it here as well in the interest of transparency and so that any potential response may also be relayed to the community:
Hey Jacob, I've been a user of the site for 4 years (not nearly as long as many others, but I have definitely enjoyed the content and overall quality for my stay). I understand you are probably getting a million different messages regarding the content removal and if you don't respond then it is what it is. I'm asking you because there has yet to be any answer on the forums:
What is happening to the "controversial" tags? Will their content ever be returned? It has been 2 months now and there has been no information on this.
Far be it from me to accuse you of anything negative related to money- I've used this site for free all these years and I'm not opposed to the idea of a fairly-priced subscription model if it gets me quality content and even creates a legitimate industry in the west. In these regards I support your endeavors.
At the same time however, I want to be able to access diverse content. If we can't have unlicensed doujins or scanlations, then fine. But what about the nuking of entire categories of content, and thousands of items that fell under them? I can tell that you plan on hosting (and are currently hosting) high-quality content under the paid model, but what will happen to all non-vanilla content? It is for that reason, as a fan of many of those tags, that I have felt "turned away" from Fakku by these vague and unspecified changes in policy which you simply described as "certain controversial content". Were it not for that I would still be actively using your site rather than simply logging in to transfer my favorites to other sites.
This is your chance to change my mind, Jacob. You want to increase the quality (and legality) of fakku's content. But what about its diversity?
