[Locked] Allowed/Banned File Hosts List in every User Uploads section

Well as the topic header says. I think that the Allowed/Banned File Hosts list needs to be stickied in all the User Uploads Sections and not just in the Manga and Doujinshi Upload section. I know that more people upload to that section then any of the other sections. However, I think all the sections would get less posts of Banned File hosts links if the list was in all of them. Now I am not saying they will disappear all together. I just think there will be less of them.

Just saying as a User who is currently keeping a Masterlist Upadated for both Cg Sets upload section and Flash Games Upload Section. Thanks for your time in reading this.

Okay sorry, but I am *Bumping* this thread. I just saw a person using filesonic links in the cg section. I have already reported the post since it has banned file hosts.

I really think that the list needs to be placed in all the user uploads section. I mean it is not that hard to do. You just quote what Jacob said in the one in the manga and doujinshi section then stickie it. If anything if one of the Mods will let me know that they will stickie them. Then I will make one in each section.

I'll add it to the "Before Uploading... Read Me!" sticky later, been meaning to remake that entire thread anyway.

Although i don't think it'll actually help that much, most people tend to skip reading the stickies with rules.

That is true, and I did say in the OP that it will proably not stop them fully. But would hopefully cut down on users posting them.

Also, if it is in every section then they can't use the, "I did not see it cause was in different section" excuse.

STILL think this is a good idea.

The Allowed/Banned File Hosts thread is in the Manga and Doujinshi forum but it applies to everything. Can this list be added to other forum rule topics or somewhere so that future users know where they can and cannot upload to.

And some explanation as to why these were allowed and banned would be nice. Beeza's post is best example.

And I really want the ban on FileServe appealed. From what I understand, you guys don't want it because users can make money, right? So if I provide proof that I am not enrolled, can I use it? It's probably the best one out there right now.

HAve you ever DL from Mediafire. Cause Unless I am mistaken in your wording here. You are saying that Filserve is the best file host. IMO that could never happen. MF is the best. The only time it is not the best is when it is down for some reason. Then Megaupload is the best when MF is down. I have nothing but problems with Fileserve to be truthfull.

Just saying this whole ban of crappy file hosts was a great idea, thanks for doing it.

i'm really just saying adding another perspective on the fileserve thing here (read: i dun care either way if it gets allowed or stays banned). it's one of the better hosts for me in terms of speed and especially after i got to use their remote uploading service from which i can remote upload my files from MU for another set of download links to my files without spending extra time uploading.

MF has a 250 MB upload limit unless you pay. FileServe has 1024 MB. FileServe lets you upload via FTP! I can't stress how great that is. If MF would increase their file size limit, I would be all for them, but 250 MB is small when you're uploading GBs of data.

You guys don't want it because you don't want people making money, right? So if I don't enroll in that, what's the difference? Please explain this instead of just giving me no followed by a curse word.

That was in the post I linked to earlier. You're fighting for a lost cause. If all you want to do is simply upload and share, then stick with MF/MU like you did in the past. Otherwise, take your failserve links and post them on hongfire or w/e.

Okay you know Let's just stop this arguing about Fileserve. That was not why I created this thread for. IF you want to argue about go create a thread for it or whatever. This thread was intended to either support or not support the idea of having a list of the allowed/banned file host in every Upload Section. I don't want this to turn into another thread like the thread where tymek88 was arguing over his file hosts.

Yes, I can see reason holds no value.

SO, let's get this list in every upload section please? If it was, I would not have wasted my time earlier uploading to FS.
