Broken for me too, i also seem to get the error whenever i try uploading a picture to a topic too.

This is happening to me too. I initially assumed it was because something was soaking up all the bandwidth. I don't change my avi very often once I find one that I really enjoy, so it's pretty frustrating when I finally want to go with something new.

Someone earlier in this thread suggested trying repeatedly, got mine changed after a few hours of trying. Clearly still problematic, but at least there's a tiny chance of it working. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, though.
