What's this 'harassment' people keep talking about? From what I can see most people are just being treated relative to how they act -- it's not terribly different from real life. Wait no, in real life people can treat you based on your race or appearance. So really, what I'm seeing here is that anonymity on a message board provides one with a relatively simple singular focus: how you act. And by act, I mean write. It's really not that difficult.
I doubt I've received as much harassment as some users on these forums in my entire tenure on the internet. Maybe once in a while we can skip the victimization and treat it as a learning experience, hm? It's not like the harassment you receive online is uncontrollable; especially compared to racial or sexual harassment.

Again, not really complaining. I think the management here is fine, but I do think IB warrants its own set of rules even if it's just for the sake of new users, so they know what to expect.
IB is specifically different from any other section because it do not increase post count. Basically the same as ctfg but with more hate. If people just can't stand the harsh nature of IB, why not go to ctfg instead? People are nicer there.
Also, I think ctfg has higher traffic compared to IB.

What? The vagueness of the rules is to allow IB to be that way, it's a place for people to get wild and unload. I think it's serving it's purpose now. It used to be quite a bit like Random but now it's an entirely new board with it's on cultures and sub cultures.

While we ensure people don't go overboard I've been told under no uncertain terms that IB should be left to it's own devices. If you want to suggest a warning thread be stickied in IB then make a thread in feedback to discuss it but we aren't adding rules when IB fits the current wishes of the staff.
