wlr is working on the mobile fakku app. Here: http://walar.net/fakku/
Corrections its just optimized version of Fakku to work with Mobile browsers. Like many sites have m.sitename.com ex; facebook and twitter both have m.* or mobile.*
Also there is no need for an App, if you can just create a shortcut for both iPhone and Android on the screen to point to the site and you do need to pay $ to be on Play Market or AppStore.
So ones again there is no need for an app, I would be just as happy with touch optimized version of the site which does not eat as much data as full version.
Well I guess when you put it that way. It does make sense. Guess all that is needed is to publicize the existence of this mobile site more.
As I assumed it provides option of adding shortcut to its Web App version for iOS devices. However you still will suffer pop-up ADs that open new windows to porn sites. And there are some fucked adds while reading manga :( guess ADs can't go away. I am still not sure why Jacob does not make this official m.fakku.net would be kick-ass. If they can only spare our doujin corrupt souls from the torture of annoying ADs
Well i ran a quick test to see how it looks on different devices.
iPhone 4 (OS: iOS 5.1.1, Display: 3.5in, Browser: Stock(Safari)) - PASSED
Note: To many ADs are opened (2 on first open)
Xperia ARC S (OS: Android 4.0.4, Display: 4.2in, Browser: Stock) - PASSED
Note: I excluded Chrome as it does not support AJAX used to pull pages. To many ADs are opened (2 on first open)
Nokia 500 (OS: Nokia Belle, Display: 3.2in, Browser: Stock(Belle)) - PASSED
Note: Opera Mini/Mobile where not tested, performance is horrible due to Stock browser being a piece of crap. Screen is way to small to read. To many ADs (2 on first open) lagging Stock Browser.
ACER Iconia A500 (OS: Android 4.0.4, Display: 10.1in, Browser: Stock) - PASSED
Note: I excluded Chrome as it does not support AJAX used to pull pages. To many ADs are opened (2 on first open). Not very tablet friendly so stay away.
Problems found
Since the site is using Fakku to fetch images from its also uses its own ADs
In code you will find JavaScript pointed to http://xapi.juicyads.com/js/jac.js
I understand that developer needs $ but ADs are evil. Not that many would care as mobile phones are said to be virus safe (this is just a delusion by the way, watch Chaos;Head and you will understand that entire life is a delusion ;) )
The Mobile version is using jQuery. If I was doing it I would use Dojo Mobile Toolkit as instead of loading all un-needed modules like jQuery does Dojo allows you to pick and choose, and is much more OOP then jQuery. In terms of Animation Dojo FX does good.
