[Locked] FAKKU Redesign

For the past few months we've been working on a redesign of FAKKU and we're finally ready to make it public! You can turn on the new design, and other beta features, by visiting the following page in your account settings. This will turn on beta features across the website (right now though it's mainly just the redesign). But beware, this is basically my playground for whatever random thing I happen to be working on in my free time. So expect things to be a little broken... https://www.fakku.net/account/beta In the coming months this redesign will be the default FAKKU design, so I want to make sure it's 100% solid before it goes live. Current Design Problems As time goes on our library of content is going to keep increasing. We need to surface content from our back catalog to users that may not be aware of everything available, we want you to get the most value out of your subscription. It's on us to design ways to surface that content to users, so that you can easily view the massive library FAKKU has rather than just the latest content on the front page. There's lots of little things we'll be fixing as well. As an example, right now the process of buying a book or doujin is a little wacky and we don't have it built into the main site in a friendly way. We'll fix that. Or did you know you can search for multiple tags at the same time? We do a bad job showing how to do that. This redesign gives us the freedom to fix these problems and add a lot more features to FAKKU, and we have a long long list of new features we are planning to work on. Why redesign FAKKU? FAKKU was designed over 10 years ago and honestly, our design hasn't changed much in that time. That's a good thing, it means we were able to achieve the goals of our previous (existing) design. That goal was to help bring hentai to a larger international audience and to give scanlators a platform to do so. Now that we are both a publisher and a service, our design needs to change to reflect that. FAKKU can't, and shouldn't, look like a scanlation website. We owe it to ourselves, our users, and our partners in Japan, to make FAKKU look and feel like something more (because it is). On this note, on my Samsung g6 in Firefox the list Fudgehog noted doesn't wrap to fit screen. The quoting indentation does this too, but people need to trim their quotes. The page numbers show make the page stretch off the right of my screen.

Can someone check whether the collection thumbnail URL's are messed up in the new design as well?

I saw someone mentioned here already that you can't change avatar but it didn't seem to get noticed so mentioning it again just incase.
Also is the new design now properly live? I was forced onto it last night but some have stated they're still on the old design. Wasn't sure if this is a bug or not.

The new design seems to have a problem with html coding in the comment section. Every time I try to insert a link using the html code only the code itself is displayed. If I turn the new design off, go to the comment, edit the comment and turn the new design on afterwards it suddenly displays everything correctly. Spooky!

Is it just me or does going to the Store just forward back to the main page? I'm using the new format so I thought maybe that's why.

Not sure if it was mentioned before, but the tab text for 'Read Later' just says 'NO TITLE' in it instead of "-User-'s Read Later".

non-subscribers can't change avi.

you can select a new image but the update avi button doesn't change green and when you move the mouse over it, the pointer changes to a stop sign

Subscribers can't change it either.

I had to switch off the beta to be able to change it.

Subscribers can't change it either.

This should be fixed, I noticed it last week

Sometimes this happens when your signed into the main website and not the store, after the first redirect it should stop.

It appears the 'send message' to other users button is missing. Also signatures sometimes don't appear randomly? (Not sure if it's me though)

I like the redesign, but I do miss the preview images, are those coming back? As a member who has an off and on subscription, those preview images are key for me so I can better decide to put it in a collection and come back to later.

Nope, once you select a new image from file the button is still greyed out.
