Fakku Wiki

Some of you must have seen this. I say we add more to it.

It could definitely use some updating, but part of the reason why it was left deserted was because of a lack of said interest. And, well not to be rude, but Fakku is hardly deserving of a Wiki. The site isn't so important or a cultural phenomenon to be befitting of a Wiki.

That surely looks good, but most of us lack time. And the lack of interest in it also disinterests folks. Sounds nice to add to it though.

Not to mention a wiki-connection might draw attention from an unwanted crowd; namely Congress and friends.

I don't see why some updating would be hurtful. Everything has a wiki nowadays.

Heh, what can I say? I hate that every site thinks it needs to have it's own Wikia account now. I'd say ninety percent of sites that have a Wiki don't need one and only let it go to waste, just sitting there letting it rot into obscurity and unfortunately Fakku is no different.

I mean I guess there is nothing wrong with having it, but there is no point in having it either. What benefit does Fakku have in having a Wiki? I can't think of anything, and I would suppose that until someone could think of a reason then it will never be used.

well once the 404 is fixed it wont even be used to search for threads and the search bar for doujin works well. Better to keep fakku small and simple Imo.

The thing is, the only one's who would visit the wiki already go to Fakku, so it's not exactly needed... >.>

As one of the original creators of the wiki I'm amazed at the number of people who are talking shit. The concept behind it was that new users could use it to help find their way around and get a better feel for the way the site operates. You should all feel like shit for complaining while you've done absolutely nothing. Whether or not it's the most important thing on the web is irrelevant.

I simply don't see a need for a wiki, not that I'm downplaying it or anything. Hell, I never knew there was a wiki until I read this thread. If the wiki's purpose is to guide new users, there should be more to the wiki than just an outline of the forums, like FAKKU! philosophy, community aspects of the forums, IRC, and other communication channels, more up-to-date information on the staff, and things like that. Of course, someone's going to have to be willing to spend time on updating the wiki or it's just sitting there to rot.
