Fixed 'header bar" ?

Hello.
Just wonder whether making the header as a permanent display (ex : as YouTube search bar), would "hinder" or not the phone users.
Might be rather easy to code from the few tips I know about html code and it would save some rolling.
It is not expressedly necessary but it might be handier for users.
How about that ?
