Follow or Add as Friend option?

An option to "follow" or "Add as Friend" would be a great addition to Fakku!. Because Fakku! is more than just a doujin uploading site, it's a community. People should be able to follow or be-friend others so they can keep up with the latest doujins they've read or favored. I have trouble finding people I know on here, so I think this would help not only with navigation to others' pages, but also the overall socialism on the site.

I know this would probably be a very large and difficult process, but it's just a suggestion. I hope you guys could take this into consideration.

I don't think you quite got the gist of what I was saying. I was thinking more like a way of sharing and communication more than friend having. To each their own I guess.

Allow me to reiterate; I'll go slower this time:

We are all on Skype.
We don't need a friend system.

I like the idea.

I think improving the social interactions on Fakku is important to keep the forum going. A lot of newbies just leave because they feel ignored. If they could add people in a less invasive way, (rather than asking people for their Skype usernames) they might feel more comfortable and stick around.

Personally I don't think something like this is needed.
As Antw0n said, you can always turn to skype or Fakku's irc.

You can also private message users you like and ask for email/facebook/whatever. There are also many group/club threads in ctfg that can be used.

I was talking about what you thought about the idea on here, you said it was to show off friends, I replied with, it would be more for sharing and communication.

You seem to assume everyone is on skype, which they aren't. Thus making your point entirely invalid. This would be easier for most people since they wouldn't have to leave the site. They could go straight to thier friends' page, seeing thier latest favorites.

Plus, this is just a suggestion. You don't have to go out of your way to make sure this thread fails. Perhaps you should take it easy there sport?

This is assuming everyone on Fakku will want to add randoms to their Skype list.

With this idea it wouldn't be a pain to have 50+ randoms on your (F!) friend list. Plus, the only way to check if someone favorites a new doujin is by manually checking their profile. This way if you find someone who has similar doujin interests as yours, it'll be easier to keep track.

His idea falls further beyond just a friends list.

Maybe some users don't like the idea of becoming more mainstream and facebook/twatter/other useless social networking people use has a personal diary of what they ate or when they took a dump. We ready have outlets like chatfagland and the secret realms of the other sections. Too many ' I ate a sandwich' or 'Rate mah penis' threads to multiply like /b/.. unless it funny then hey groovy. Socialwhoring aside... the less jacob codes.. the less i haz to repost stuff and server molestation and rape consoling session needed.

Actually they are. All of the frequent users anyway, not the newfags- but no one cares about them anyway.

What is there to "follow" on here? There's not "updates" or status postings, unless you creepily want to check every comment someone makes... but you can do so manually by looking at their profile anyhow.

Well it has a forum, so it has a level of socialism to it. Plus the fact it's difficult to find someone's page on here. I've yet to find a search users option, if that was around perhaps a follow or add a friend option isn't needed.
