Is anyone else only able to see thumbs?

I'm having a problem reading at least 80% of any manga. I hit read and I get a page that just says thumbs and never loads any more than that. Is it me? Or is anyone else having this problem?

Happens to me from time to time lately. I am using a first gen iPad. Maybe that's the problem?
