MOTE MOTE 2010/11

i think fakku should revive MOTE MOTE not just for the sake of fakku but for the fun, joy, and excitement it brings to the community.

Mote Mote was dumb--but for one reason, and one reason only. Mote Mote wasn't about the girls, it was about their series.

i.e. Haruhi would win out against the hypothetical hottest chick in the anime universe (again, this is a hypothetical) simply because there are only two kinds of people: Haruhi FANATICS and people who don't give a shit.

reminds me of ice gurl beating horo & tomoyo d: but ya, you do have a good point. then again, it wasnt only about the characters or their series, it was also about people coming together, staying up for hours just to keep a close eye on which character has got the edge... along with multiple bickerings.

I think it should be revived. It is a fun way to pass the time and for everyone to post and vote for their FAVs. Also it is good because if one has never seen the girl before it could introduce them to a new series. If it does get revived we should only use of course girls from the most recent series.

I remember reading from somewhere that it wouldn't be fun with characters from k-on. also mentioned above with the problem of series greatly effecting the choices. perhaps implementing improved balancing or setting exceptions would help make things more "fair".

Meh. i don't follow anime so i don't ever know who any of them are.

i think it's serious in the sense that it *was* one of fakku's main attractions aside from the doujins.

For someone who thought an April's Fool joke was for real on Fakku and blamed Danny Choo for making Fakku less fun, you sure do know what makes Fakku operate the best.

Mod Note: Moved to the Feedback, Suggestions and Support section. I am glad to see that the MoteMote competitions in the past have attracted lots of new members and this is technically an idea proposed to bring the competition back, but whether or not it will be beneficial at this point in time remains to be seen.

In addition, I would urge all users to refrain from creating the same discussion in different sections. I am tempted to merge this particular one with the other located in the Incoherent Babblings section, but the latter has some inappropriate, chat-like replies.

Last but not least, please remain on topic and refrain from "attacking" one another.

Mote Mote were going on, but from what I've heard
all it did what cause arguments and draw an unusual amount of attention to the site so I voted for "Do Not Wan't". Although if done right, it COULD be good!! =3
