New IB Section...

..for games and chat threads. Not only have i brought this situation up many times to Waar and others, but it has come apparent that it is an ever growing issue to some users on this forum. I understand that IB is mean't for these pointless threads, but it just gets to a point where it becomes ridiculous, and quite frankly it has. These chat threads and game threads appeal to some, but for the people that find them menial, they just waste up space and make things cluttered. They keep re-appearing on the front page numerous amounts of time with no end. To the threads that don't involve a game or chat of some kind, i find they get pushed down to page 3 of IB in less than 2 hours. By this time no one will pay real attention or even know it existed at all. This is hardly fair at all. Im not saying to get rid of these threads, but just move them into a sub section of IB. I know that some feel if this happens, that IB will lose most of it's appeal and die down in activity. It's reasonable logic, but IMO it will make IB even more appealing than it is now. There is no point in asking "what if's" but rather put this motion into action and see what comes forth. Take a risk, no reward comes from sitting back and doing nothing. I know that others feel the same way as i do, so please take this suggestion into consideration.

Whether or not this idea gets implemented, I don't care. As I see it, this is a very trivial matter. In case Jacob wants to see how many people support this notion, put me down for "pro subsection."

It's how a lot of our economy is based on. Smaller businesses only upper hand is convenience of use. Most people would go out and buy an item at a store rather than ordering it online for cheaper and waiting for it to arrive at their door step, at the sake of convenience. This rule certainly applies in this situation.

Time has already told that threads that go out to page 2 or 3 that don't involve a game or chat essence get lost forever never to be seen again. I mean if people did click on pages 2 or 3 of IB, then we wouldn't have this problem no?

I support this idea, considering that it will clean up IB and sort it out. The current one is going out of control, with more threads popping up every day burying ones that were recently made.

I pretty much agree with RBZ completely except that I think that by giving everything a sub section you will reduce the numbers of post and also user times hang around the forums. It is sort of like how the episode subsection for specific anime is hardly used.

I understand that this is an attempt at orginization but it is also going to cause duplication as not everything can be neatly divided into the proposed catagories.

If you guys don't take it seriously then the idea could be scrapped.

Something along the lines of chat and games section would be good.

people will have the wrong idea and start posting "console" games discussion in there if it was just chat/game section.
