reputation signatures

Is anyone besides me annoyed with these signatures that look similar to a reputation notice?

Mostly amused. Old joke is old, it can be a bit strange at first, but especially with so many of them around now, it's easy to just get used to them and not care anymore.

Actually I feel like having one.

As long as it isn't close to the real thing we wont ask them to change. Any that mimic the real thing wont be permitted as they may influence people to rep/derep them.

Some of 'em are funny. It's fine for me.

I honestly feel that it's refreshingly funny

whenever I'm scrolling down a page, that grey text always catches my attention, so I waste 3 seconds reading it to realize that it's just a sig. It was slightly funny the first time I read them, but this happens every time someone with a rep Sig posts anything, which gets annoying for me.

You can just turn off the show signature if you want to, Or just don't give a fuck to their sig. It's just a sig anyway.

Mine is a refection of the bandwagon craze on IB.. also civil disobedience to hipsters.

I don't really mind, except if everybody will do the same thing. It would cause confusion to the forums.

It's a fad. It'll pass. Kinda like those Squibys that everyone was using in their sigs a few months back. Most of them are gone now.

It's entertaining to see what people come up with

The only issue I have is those users who have a straight-forward "This user has received (+/-)1 reputation for this post." in their signature. That could very well make another user inclined to alter their reputation because they perceived that as a reputation point given when it really was not.

That blurs the line of the rule against using your signature to directly affect the alteration of one's reputation.

It was funny but a lot of people started doing it, so...

Amusing, but not the slightest bit annoying to me.

You always have an option to turn off signature display in your profile page if you find this sig fad too "annoying" for you to tolerate.

The sigs on this site are the most obnoxiously huge ones I've come across, so I just keep them off. I've checked some sigs out if people mention that they're funny, but nothing particularly interesting.

A lot of people get away with huge signatures...
