I seriously doubt anyone from the FAKKU staff would state what the real requirements are unless they are on their way out and want to give a huge middle finger to FAKKU.
You've clearly been reading the forums (thank you so much for that instead of just posting haphazardly) so you must have come across WHY there is a requirement and WHY there is a need for hidden tags (for those of you who don't know, it's basically for legal reasons if what was said on the forums is true).
I've heard this be said before, but to me the idea that the tags are hidden for some kind of legal reasons seems like poppycock. The fact that Fakku has controversial content is not "hidden" in any shape or form, everyone knows of their existence and if you search a little bit through the forums you can even see administrators themselves explaining to users how to enable the said tags back when they were first locked away.
If someone for whatever reason wanted to make legal allegations towards Fakku, and they were under the belief that Fakku is distributing illegal content, believe me, they would
not simply search the tags and go "Welp, nothing here." Legal investigations are much more thorough than that.
Same goes for your ISP providers and credit card companies, someone would have to submit a serious, documented complaint for the site to be investigated, and once again, someone who is searching for the tags will find evidence of them very easily.
imo, it is far more likely that the reason the tags are hidden is due to marketability, they are called "controversial" for a reason. They do not sit right with the average consumer and seeing such content on the front page of the site might not paint a good impression for them, maybe even permanently turn them away.
When you look at it from that point of view, it makes sense to have it like that. If you have been here for several weeks already and even have several posts on the forum, it means that you are a part of the "community" at that point and are unlikely to leave even if you find out about the tags accidentally.
So, again, I don't see the point of being "hush hush" about the whole thing.
