Why I want to support the site but don't

Hello Jacob and the FAKKU team!
First of all, I want you guys to know I appreciate your effort and I love the way you want to run this site now. The new content is very tempting. I also earn enough money to buy the IMO a bit overpriced subscription. So why don't I?
Reason 1: I actually hate subscriptions. Since I started working and going to university, I rarely found time to visit hentai sites. Do I really want to spend 13$ a month for maybe only 4 visits to FAKKU? Though that might be more of my own problem, I would appreciate an alternative access to the doujinshi. Maybe a perma-buying option for each magazine?
Reason 2: As other people said already, the payment options can't actually be called options. What the heck am I supposed to do if I don't own a credit card? Should I get one just for FAKKU? You've got to be kidding me. And the other option? BitCoin? Give me a break.
Reason 3: The astronomically bad performance of FAKKU I've had to experience on my mobile phone for quite a while now. This is probably the most saddening and infuriating point. I reported about five months ago that I started having huge lagspikes and browser crashes due to quickly crammed RAM on the FAKKU sites and especially on the premium book reader. While my phone is not the newest, the hardware specs are more than enough and I am the type of guy to not just install every shitty app they come across. My phone is actually super clean. And since I never experience this problem on other websites, how could I wrong my phone for that, anyway? In the following three months, there seemed to have been several attempts to do something about this, but sadly, they weren't exactly successful. So even though the site ran perfectly fine before, and I immediately reported on the problem when it arose, the issue couldn't be identified, and now I'm stuck with it. Great. I honestly wonder why only a handful of people seem to have this problem. Should I just buy a new phone and hope it works with that one, even though my current phone is still in mint condition? Doesn't sound like an option, either.
So all in all, I'm just left with disappointment.

The answer to 1 is: that'd be way more expensive in the long run
The answer to 2 is: it's not limited purely to credit cards. You can get debit cards, bank cards and prepaid cards for it easily enough. Bank/ debit cards are just personal cards you use, but are mastercard or visa. That way you can use them online (faster and safer through paypal iirc). Prepaid ones you can get everywhere. Bank cards are a good investment tbh. Credit cards are a pretty big step, so it's good that you can use bank cards easily enough
3 is probably your phones os being outdated, or browser being outdated. Or something. Most older phones don't allow you to use the most recent updates because of their size and limited hardware power

When I saw Fakku moving towards subscriptions, I already started exporting to Pururin (which was amazing, better interface than Fakku but now abandoned) and now nhentai and recently exhentai. So glad I pretty much moved already and pretty satisfied w/those sites. I check in Fakku time to time to see how it's doing since I've been w/them for so long.
I'm totally with Fakku in spirit. Supporting the artists is important. But like many others have said, $12-13/month is a lot, considering the cost to produce the content is cheaper than 3D content and also more expensive to view? Doesn't make much sense...Plus there's ad revenue too...how much does that make?
It'd be nice to have more transparency and see actually how much goes to the artists or what percentage/ball park figure, so people know the $$ is really going to them and that Fakku isn't just robbing everybody. Maybe some people would be more willing to pay if they could actually see how much they are helping them. It seems w/subscriptions, Fakku will be rolling in mid-high 6 figures, likely 7, trying to be like crunchyroll. You need traffic to the site and the recent move is decreasing the traffic. Can I say it's a bold move?
Credit to Fakku, they do have some stuff I can't find elsewhere, not even the raws, and it's translated and looks good (But I'll never know it's good enough since I never got subscribed so I have no idea what I'm actually missing, so a trial like someone suggested could be a good idea). I'm just not convinced enough to pay to see it when I'm satisfied w/other sites having my favorites and what's available (which was made unavailable by removing the unlicensed stuff and thus less traffic) It's still free elsewhere and it's too much currently to support and no anonymous way to pay currently exists (remember the demographic here is pretty poor) Plus am I not supporting by viewing ads? Maybe if I just keep clicking ads would that help? I don't mind the annoying ads and if that supports artists, great! But people are still translating, scanning free. (call me a prick but if I paid for all the doujin, hentai, heck any media I saw, I'd be broke as hell, it all adds up and then I'll just cut back and not use Fakku at all. It isn't worth X% of my budget when you gotta pay for movies, netflix, hulu, crunchyroll, manga, that people are also paying. Ya gotta fit people's budget, people who are young and poor.
I agree w/what another poster said about japan "hogging" their stuff. Though it's more like they don't or know how to export to the West, and Fakku is trying to bridge that like Crunchyroll, Funimation, . It was all pirated cause they never gave a platform for Westerners to pay or even view translated doujins. They just expect us to learn their language and donate $$ just cause we saw their stuff for free on the internet translated by someone else who translated that work for free and helped them gain fans who may later pay? Come on...so I get what Fakku is doing.

If I buy a one month subscription and then only pay 4 visits to the site (4 manga chapters), I literally paid 3$ each. Not worth it. If I make a one-time payment of 15$ for a permanent magazine however (20 chapters), then I can read it at any pace and anytime I want, even distributed over 5 months if I had to. Do you get where I'm coming from?

But to install a newer version of Android, I'll have to root my phone first. It does sound like it's worth a shot. Will try that sometime soon, then report back ;P

2) If you have any other payment method suggestions, by all means, let us know. You have to realize, when your business is adult content, more and more payment processor want less to do with you. Even if the content isn't illegal. We do have some plans for gifting subscriptions, buying pre-paid subscription codes at cons, etc but we have to figure them out a bit logistically first.
3) Your phone might be out of date or old. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of phone is it? We've been trying to slim down the site more and more to help out mobile users as much as possible.

Can't you sell gifts cards or codes through thirds party, which then then can be spend here. like how people buy steam voucher or iTunes card in supermarkets.
i.e. buy a gift card/code on Amazon and then spend it here or buy the card/code here and use it here.

Hello Kisuka! Just so there isn't a misunderstanding: Subscribing means temporary access to all doujinshi, right? I don't care that much about being able to read offline, that's not exactly a problem, but I'd like to buy permanent access to a whole magazine instead, you see? Just like how it works with the books :) If you make the magazines as a whole buyable, shouldn't that fix the PayPal problem??? Please just make that a possibility! By that, I could use my favorite payment method AND problem no. 1 would be solved!
Regarding my phone, I already spoke with Daiz about that. I am running a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with standard Android 4.1.2. Normally available RAM: 450 MB. Let me just wipe my phone and install Cyanogen Mod with Android 4.4.4 :P

Yes, subscribing means monthly access to all our magazine chapters. (what few doujinshi we have left on the site are mostly free and submitted by their artists) We don't have a permanent option for subscribing to our monthly content yet, but even if we did the content is still considered digital adult porn by paypal, which they are against. If it were physical, like our books we publish, then we could use paypal. As much as we'd like to make a physical magazine, it more than likely would be a single special collectible issue released once a year.
We are trying to find a way around the paypal issue, so hopefully something will be worked out soon.

Anyway, I just visited my local bank and asked about a prepaid credit card. Turns out it really is easy to get one within two weeks. Though as always, some extra paperwork is required and I have to pay 20€ annual fee.
I also flashed my phone in the meantime. It does run a lot smoother on Cyanogen Mod with Android 4.4.4 - not perfectly well, but a lot better than before. I could actually scroll through an entire book without crashing! xD And the zooming function is also really smooth now.

You might wanta wait until @Kisuka figures out what prepaid card will work on the cc processor since people with vanilla cards can't use them. Bank credit logo debt cards seem to work from a few users.

I'm talking about a personal, reloadable Visa card that can be used online in the same way as a credit card, but you have to charge it first and you can't actually use more money than you loaded onto it. ^^'

Are you kidding me? ._. That doesn't sound so good after all... my future card might actually fall into the second category you mentioned. Though there are a few differences: My card will have my name on it, it will be linked to my already existing online account and I don't have to pay reload fees or stupid shit like that. :D The description of the "BasicCard" itself says I may use it for online shops worldwide as I please, but who knows...

Well if has your name then maybe it will work because you can be a minor to have a credit card even if you have a bank account... at least here. That would be a age verification, but the credit processor may want an actual credit verification. This is a jacob question.

How recent is this? When I bought my copy of Renai Sample back in September, I used a Vanilla card, and it worked just fine.
