For those of you wondering what Heroes is, its a reproduction of Warcraft 3 map called Defense of the Ancients in a program of its own. The graphics are revamped and look badass, the map is built exactly the same with an additional 3v3 map as well as allowing for future custom maps. Has a practice mode, game search, in-game voice chat, and its own chat system similar to battle.net's. Also, it has its own banlist, rating system with stats page, no leaver games, as well as having most of the same characters with their abilities and items just with different names and looks. Its developed by one of the DotA developers, Icefrog. New characters are coming as well as some of the missing characters being added in as time goes on. You can autobalance the team at the beginning of a match, concede a match with a vote by the entire team and not get a disconnect penalty, kick a player with a vote by everybody, and ask to remake the match within the first 5 minutes. There's also a bunch of custom game options besides the usual SD, RD, DM, EM.
This game is pretty much everything you wished DotA to be.
Nice description, just one thing: Icefrog declares that he isn't involved with S2 or the development of the game.
Icefrog: "They contacted me a few years ago to ask if I had any objections to them doing a game heavily based on DotA, which I didn't. I don't really mind all these new games (6 total now I think), competition is a good thing in the long run. I will still work hard to develop and improve DotA on WC3 for everyone that is still interested in it."
The only thing that u can't say for sure about HoN is the balance that DotA have. If Icefrog is not related with the game, we need to trust some unknow people to balance the heroes.
U guys can also try League of Legends, that is officialy developed with Guinsoo on the team (Google it up if u don't know who is guinsoo :P) but in my opinion, not worth the time... war3 DotA is waaaaaaayyy better (GRAFICALLY) than LoL
lol
