Total epic fail. I really think its funny that the characters are totally westernized for an oriental manga/anime. And that they have actors for characters that aren't even close to the correct age. Chow Yun-Fat as Roshi? Not gonna work. AND of course, they have a white guy playing Goku. Bulma I can understand because even in the anime/manga she doesn't look oriental, but goku clearly looks more oriental than white, so again that's not gonna work. So again I say epic failure.

And since it's Dragon Ball and not Z the chances of Vegeta appearing in more than one of those after the credit previews are 0. I would probably explode if the movie ended with an over 9000! foreshadow for a DBZ movie though. I would be severely disappointed at the lack of Brian Drummond's voice but if the movie could seem at least mildly enticing I'd be down for it.

I hope they drag it out to a trillogy like lotr or like rocky or friday the 13th, and then give it a return of the king ending where the screen keeps going black but the movies not over and all..

Dragonball is totally doable since it was mostly just "real" martial arts consisting of punches and kicks; the Piccolo saga (which is what the movie is based on) is where the trademark DBZ fights started but they weren't really prominent until the end. If they don't fuck the movie up entirely then we may be seeing Super Saiyan Vegeta by 2012.

But the new one is been made here in México with all the actual effects... with all the... you know HOLLYWOOD thing..., and it say that is coming on 11-2008.
And the rumors said that Spielberg is on of the directors....
I'm eider know much about it... But what I know is that don't be fooled... and investigate it for yourself... or wait until you can actually see it on TV announced...
