OK, now that I have your attention, here goes. A number of us here on FAKKU have expressed concern about the current state of the forums. While I encourage more of you to post and was very happy to see the number of posts per day increase to record-breaking levels, this happiness was quickly quelled when I noticed a few of the new posts are, bluntly put, not very intelligent. Jacob and I are in the process of enacting a mod system, because, as many of you have noticed, the forums need it. I also think it is time that you all follow some common sense rules before posting, and once I have a mod system and a report system set up and going, I will punish people that are ruining the forums for others. 1) Be considerate. Don't just start flaming people for no reason; you people are better than that. 2) Don't be retarded. Please, use that gray matter of yours before posting, or suffer the wrath of the FAKKUZA (and a possible de-rep storm). 3) Create topics where they belong. If your topic is obviously a request, make it in the Requests forum. If it's something retarded, make it in the Incoherent Babbling forum (which will probably be the only unmoderated forum). It's extremely tedious for the staff if we have to clean up after you. 4) Make sure whatever you're posting doesn't already have a thread. The forums have a search function, which you can find here, or the top of the forum index. There are no less than six threads asking about the image section all over the forum and it's driving some of us nuts. It's really all common sense, so just think about what it would be like for someone else to read what you've written before you post it. Here's some information about a few site-related issues: 1) The video section. We still don't know why many of the videos were suddenly removed, but it is very likely due to legal issues. So, it is unlikely that we will reupload them, and I apologize for that. 2) The image section. We are this close to putting it back up, but are fixing one last compatibility problem. So stop asking when it will be up again, because it will be up when it is. 3) Signatures. It's amazing that someone actually asked about it even though a previous news post explained it fully, but they're gone because we want a less cluttered forum. Will we put them back in? Who knows. Any retarded topics will be deleted immediately, and if you are dumb enough to post them again, a shiny silver hammer will fall on your head. I'm sorry to have you wonderful people read something like this, but I have received too many complaints to ignore it any further. Now that that's done, have some hentai! Raze - great selection and quantity of updates :D :D :D

Fully support the Mod System for forums - it would eliminate a lot of the "bad blood" that develops when folks write before they think and put up postings that could be construed as mean and viscous .

This is a problem with many forums. People are just too impatient and don't like to look for the answers themselves. Instead they make thread after thread with the same stuff. Glad to see you guys not tolerating that. Oh, and thanks for the Hentai. I appreciate it as always.

I agree, many people are too lazy to look for their own stuff, instead repeatedly asking for the same thing in multiple threads, and then acting rude towards the people(or general community) for not helping them, when they could have found what they were looking for by Googling it.

I like how people on these forums are considerate, so I appreciate the effort to weed out the bad seeds, so to speak :)

As a forum gets bigger, more staff will be required to govern the site, be it in terms of members' behaviour, repeated topics and requests. Even though most of us are still unsure of how the upcoming Mod system would function, I believe it will be for the better.

However, the notion of "too many cooks spoil the broth" does come to mind.

As I can see it, I know that there are 2 admins Jacob and Raze. Other positions exist such as FAKKU subber, scanlator, artist, and Hibia's IRC watcher position (he switches his title so much that I can't really define him). Correct me if I'm missing other positions.

As I also see it, this site now has over 40000 members, but in reality probably less than 25% actually participate interactively with over 20 posts. Still, 10000 members who actually participate is still a lot, which requires a mod for every couple of thousand members, or else moderating the forums will be very hard and tiring for our admins and moderator Gambler. Yeah, too many cocks will spoil the party, but better to be safe than sorry, ne? Hope to see promising moderators soon, my two-cent's worth.
