So, instead of Jacob's massive update full of awesome that he promised, you'll have to bear with this update that only promises but doesn't provide. Don't blame him though: he's either drinking way too much coffee, improving the site, or (and I think this might be it) he's out there hitting on real women, assisted by that hypnotic beard of his.
Anyway, the translation team feels it's a good idea to let you guys know more about us and what happens behind the scenes, and to this end Nikon and I (and maybe even the other team members) will
try to provide regular status updates as to what we're working on and how things are going. Just so that this post isn't too long, I'll talk only about our anime projects.
We're hard at work with two anime projects, and both are pretty much close to completion. The first is a project I'm pretty sure you all know we're working on:
Stretta: The Animation, Episode 2. The translation and timing for this episode was completed within two days after the raw first appeared on the internet, but due to a horrible sign involving a simultaneous zoom and fade that required our typesetting superstar
Bob64 about 168 frames to photoshop, we probably won't release it until sometime next week. It's not that he's not close to finishing (think he has like 13 frames left), but there's another project we're hoping to get out first...
... Which is the
15 Bishoujo Hyouryuuki OVA, Episode 1 from renowned animator Kazuya Kuroda, of
Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro fame. Just to tease you all, here's the roughly-karaoke'd OP, complete with Japanese, romanized, and translated lyrics.
You can download the above OP
here.
This OVA is basically about this lucky pervert called Kazuma who, uh, has
lots of fun on an island with fifteen beautiful babes. The translation and timing for this project is already completed, and the script is currently in the editing stage, so unless the sun starts rising from the west tomorrow you can expect this to be released quite soon.
I'd also like to ask you all to visit the
FAKKU Translations forum more often. Sometimes we release things there without putting them on the main page for various reasons; I'm hoping to get exciting things going there such as "Choosing our next translation project" polls and teasers for upcoming releases. And finally,
I'd like to know if you guys enjoyed this translation team status update and if you would like to see more in the future; I promise subsequent ones won't be quite as BIG-WALL-OF-TEXT as this one.
Here is a cute picture added by Jacob so that everyone reads this post.
