Dannychoo has a great post from Wonder Festival, a customized resin kit convention in Japan. I have never made a resin kit before, but some of these look incredible. Has anyone ever made one?
i've not made one of these, but i used to build those little pewter nerd game figures. i can tell you the part that is the hardest and makes the most differance is the painting.
That Louise figurine looks nice but they make super sexy figurines that don't require kits already ;) Kits are too much of a hassle(buying paint, getting the colors needed, painting etc.) so I don't ever plan on bothering with them....
I bought a book they teach how to make the model
:D
its very hard I mean SUPER hard to
:D
shape a figure, paint but its worth it
:D
making our own pose,character>.<
:D
:D
:D
Most interesting - but way beyond my tech skills . I'll check out his ecci models on flicker when he posts them . That I might buy as a finished model . 8)
I can barely paint properly, let alone sculpt a figure. :D
However, I am thankful for all the efforts of these professionals. Without their wonderful resin kits, the PVC versions, which I buy from time to time, will not get released.
I defiently havent, its probably the most hardest thing ever if you trying to make your own style and pose with a character.
I more wondering if these people can really make money out of them? If its a lot, then its almost worth doin it if i hav the pateince.
Why arent there many game based characters?
I've been working on one for a couple of months now. Its been taking me forever. Almost done with the modeling part hopefully I'll have time to paint this week.
