Honey Select comes with a VR Mode, why would I want to use a modded one?
First of all, all credit to Illusion for including a VR executable and to Fakku who are doing a great job in localization. Please do not take my posting about the fan VR mode as any negative implication towards them. However, Illusion's native VR mode is extremely limited -- it is more of a separate single H-mode scenario that doesn't connect to the main game. Moreover, at least at this time, it seems to require controller support, and not work with mouse or with touch controls.
The fan-made VR mod simply hooks into Unity to give you the full game, including the story mode, in VR. It also has touch controls or you can use mouse and keyboard. In short, it's more of the full game experience.
DISCLAIMERS
I didn't make this mod. I've only tested this mod on my own computer, with an Oculus Rift. Please do not expect me to give technical support, or to be able to make changes to it! I take no responsibility for anything this may do to your installation or your computer. If doing this somehow wipes out your favorite waifu, it's not on me! However, from what I can tell, this SHOULD be very safe. You aren't changing anything to do with the normal game installation at all if you follow these instructions, and it's actually very simple!
Okay, how do I install it?
Download the latest release of the mod here: https://github.com/Eusth/HoneySelectVR/releases
This will give you a zip file. Extract the zip into wherever you installed Honey Select.
You'll note you have new files: HoneySelect_64VR.exe and HoneyStudio_64VR.exe. (These are called _64 so I suspect this may only work on 64 bit systems. Sorry if you are on a 32 bit system!) But wait, if we run HoneySelect_64VR, we get an error message! It can't find HoneySelect_64.exe. But it's really just looking for your game exe. So how do we fix it? Make a copy of your Honey Select Unlimited_64.exe. Then rename that copy to HoneySelect_64.exe
But now we get a new error! It says this isn't a Unity program. Why? Because it can't find the associated data. How do we fix? Simple again. Make a copy of your Honey Select Unlimited_64_Data folder, including everything in the folder. Then rename the copy of the folder to HoneySelect_64_Data.
AND IT WORKS (make sure Steam VR is running first)!
Step by step:
-Go to https://github.com/Eusth/HoneySelectVR/releases
-Download HoneySelectVR_0.6.zip (or whatever latest version is)
-Extract .zip file to your Honey Select Folder
-Right click on Honey Select Unlimited_64.exe and select copy
-Right click in folder and select paste
-Right click on new copy of Honey Select Unlimited_64.exe and rename to HoneySelect_64.exe
-Right click on folder Honey Select Unlimited_64_Data and select copy
-Right click anywhere in Honey Select Folder and paste
-Rename new copy of folder to HoneySelect_64_Data
-Make sure Steam VR is running first or it may act weird on Oculus Rift!
-Run HoneySelect_64VR.exe
PLEASE NOTE: After any patch that Fakku issues which changes the Honey Select Executable or the data folder, make a new copy of those patched files and rename as above to stay current!
Controls:
PLEASE VISIT https://github.com/Eusth/HoneySelectVR FOR FULL LIST OF MODES AND CONTROLS
If you have motion controllers plugged in, it will default to motion controls. You will have menu attached to your left hand that you can point at with right hand and pull trigger to select. You can also "dock" the menu anywhere with the grab button. Button on controller will cycle between menu mode, movement mode (teleport to move - point with controller, circle stick to orient, click to teleport), and H-mode. In H-mode, use thumbstick/touchpad for mousewheel -- right to go faster, left to go slower.
If you do not have motion controllers plugged in, you can use mouse and keyboard. NOTE: the GUI starts off pretty close to you and curved so it isn't in your vision. If you don't like that, there's lots of things you can do! F4 toggles between curved, spherical, and flat GUI. Numpad + and - move the GUI up and down. Control+Numpad +/- makes it bigger or smaller. Shift+Numpad +/- increases GUI distance.
You can even change player scale with Alt+numpad +/-
Control+x goes to "impersonate" player aka first person mode. It will do its best to approximate where your head position will be, but is not always perfect and seems to eliminate the background. Still good if you want a quick and simple jump to the approximate correct camera angle without a lot of dragging.

I hope this helps people to further enjoy this great game!
