I still need to get around to playing this game.
What kind of visual novels do the developers like?
How does members of the staff communicate? Is there bi-weekly meetings or something to discuss where the project is going? Do you have deadlines or is it more "get/ it done/this done sometime"
Has working on this changed your ideas? Like do you look at visual novels differently, did it become more daunting, or whatever?
Since these girls have disabilities, has much research gone into what they can realistically do? or is that not much of an issue
In general, we like well done VNs that go the distance to rise above the sea of average blandness. Some games are liked by specific devs for personal attractions too, of course. Here are some games we like: Narcissu, True Remembrance, Quartett, Tenshi no Inai Juunigatsu, Crescendo and Yume Miru Kusuri
We communicate through forums, IRC, MSN and our game developement platform, redmine. There are no meetings, all discussion is done when enough people to discuss are around. There are no deadlines either, they are impossible to adhere to in a free project like this.
Yes, at least my perspective on VNs has been greatly and irrevocably changed because I work on KS. We have done research on the subject of disabilities, but KS did not require much in the way of background work.
