Hey thanks for the explanation. I didn't mean to sound like a bigot in the post. I should have phrase it better. I was trying to see if there were more games like traditional games on console and pc. I did some research, and I saw nutaku have some games outside of the visual novel genre.
I never said that you sounded like a bigot though. I just explained how I see the medium.
Ask ten people the exact same question, and you will get ten different point of views.
Nutaku is prone to censor the games though.
While they claimed that they will no longer censor games distributed via Nutaku, they still do and have proven that they are not credible at all.
Source:
Twitter comment stating they won't distribute games that were censored
and
Censorship in a fairly recent title.
Compare the time of posting from the first tweet to the second one; alone the comments say a lot about Nutaku.
I know some of these people a little, and a few of them are people, that do their homework when it comes to VNs.
If you want to buy these games, don't do it via Nutaku. or god forbid, Steam (which would be another can of worms entirely).
Since Fakku got into VNs too, it would be smart to look for titles on
VNDB.
You can search for tagsm but I'd not recommend it to you, because VNDB tends to set descriptions of titles and most importantly, setting tags on a willy-nilly basis.
For example, if you look for tags, it can very well be that the tag alone (despite not being set as spoiler) spoils you what kinds of endings you can get.
Last, but not least, I'd recommend you
Sanahtlig's Blog.
I specifically linked you to his Gameplay tag.
He also hosts a list with every known official english VN release that received censorship, if that's what is important to you.
Judging from what you said, you might get interested in the Venus Blood games, too.
Currently, the developer,
Ninetail is in the process of starting a fundraiser for the latest installment of the Venus Blood series,
Venus Blood Frontier.
The fundraiser campaign should start sometime within this month.
As you can see, there's a trial you can download at the very bottom on the official Venus Blood Frontier website.
Just give it a whirl, if you feel like it. :)
Hope that helps.
Just think twice to whom you give your money to though.
