So, I came across this article talking about this song created by Brad Paisley and LL Cool J and people, like always, are bitching about how it's racist. I really don't see how it is. To me, it's addressing the fact that racism still exist in America, and how we really need to get over it. Slavery ended a good 400 years ago, the Civil Rights movement about four decades ago. To this day, we still instil the belief that we need to judge someone because of their skin tone and thereby limit what they are allowed. Listen to it yourself and tell me what you think.
Quite honestly, the only thing I don't agree with LL Cool J being on the song. I'd be fine if it was Lupe Fiasco or Kanye West.
Am i the only one who doesn't understand why confederate flags are still a thing?
My family are southerns. The Confederate flag is history and a symbol of hatred like the Cross. Why isn't the cross also racist also? Why not cotton or chicken? Everything can be spun into a symbol of hatred. Why not the English or french or Spanish or american flag. They traded with the Africans who sold there tribal prisoners. Meh.
