Some people just have a broader range on stuff they like.
First and foremost, "Favorite" is not the same as "liking". Go check a dictionary.

Also the number of favorites doesn't explain an individual's "range" or interest. I can have "one" favorite, but do you think it's fair to generalize my range to only that "one favorite". This just means that I have a higher preference for that "one favorite" compared to all other of it's kind (hentai mangas and doujins), this automatically means I value it higher than the others, and that is why having too many favorites will lower the value of that list.
The meaning behind "broader range on stuff that they like." was not referring to favorites. It was referring to the fact that a man who loves tits will have more favorites than a man who likes striped toed, double tailed, back flipping dragons. For the simple fact that there is more material, that was my meaning behind that statement.
As for the "value" of a list. I'm not sure there's any intrinsic value in the first place so I'll just chalk that up to your opinion.
Also I am enjoying the article.
