Do you think the $65 shipping is worth it? I know its hard to buy that many doujinshi or tankoubons from other places but I keep having the mindset that it should be easier to ship overseas books. I gotta stop being greedy about shipping prices and be thankful I can get that many doujins for a cheaper price than Doujinrepublic.
Under normal circumstances no, I would never think $60 is acceptable.
The fact that it's coming from overseas is 1 reason I am willing to pay
The fact that I know it will get to me very quickly is another reason.
So in this situation with 60 doujinshi and a tank with extras I would say $60 is worth it.
Also it would be more if I didn't combine my order together all in one. That's why I enjoy placing huge orders.

Ah. Same for me too. I think 60 bucks for shipping is a bit much, but I'm gonna suck it up and pay it since I can't really get that many doujins or tankoubons elsewhere. The buyfag guide was right... Shit is Expensive.

So I just got my shipping quote for EMS. It came to 5200 yen which is $47. Now the total for 5 tankoubons was $72. So basically 119 for everthing.
So basically... Buy lots of doujinshi in one order for easier shipping since they weight less....
and buy tankoubons in smaller doses :p

Yeah that sounds like the golden method.
I think eventually it will make more sense to just fly to Japan for Comiket...and not just in my dreams.
