A quite popular flash shooter I know is the Thing Thing series(funny and odd name), quite good in the gore and firearms department and pretty fluid controls as well. Trying to play a survival match in them are pretty much a time limit game more than a survival.

My next deployment is in Ethiopia, specifically the Ogaden region, which has been an area of conflict for quite a while. Bunch of extremists there trying to push for independence of that region or something.

Well I've tried Neverwinter Nights (00's W-RPG game and the oldest generation, not the newest online game) and the spikes is killing me. I can't pass the second stage because can't handle the stress.

Tried Kasumi rebirth and it runs smoothly in Normal setting, spikes occurs in highest quality.

Tried FAEOS Natsuki flash game, it runs slow.

Spec and poor college student problems.

What times we live in where a technological gap can be as short as a year or two.

Pretty much like that. People still nagging about my old nokia phone and comparing it to blackberry or apple products. lol

maybe i'm too simple about this stuff.

Oh, I would love to go back to using them old phones like a Nokia A1. Smartphones are handy and all but I barely use any of it's features except for maybe the GPS at times(though I still rely on map). I don't think being simple is a bad thing but there are those people who look like they've been living under a rock for the last 20 years.

Dunno, smartphones looks much fragile so I'm just afraid. Especially after seeing my sis broke her smartphone, 4 months after she bought it.

I also not into GPS, using map is more reliable.

Pretty much using cellphones for basic message and calls. Music player, camera, and game features is only a bonus or portable time waster.

Yeap, I'm told to look out for those kind of things. IEDs, land mines and other nasties the ONLF have in store for guys like me. 6 months in that place will most likely take the life out of me.

@Sana, Especially since they're only starting to get thinner. I'm even nervous just standing around glass.

GPS is handy but I don't rely on it especially what with my line of work and all. It's safer to play it with a map since(depending on the enemy) electronics can mislead you.

I only use my phone to call people, take quick notes and sometimes navigate. Some handy applications like a flashlight as well but that's about it.

Ugh the horror of slim and wide cellphones.

Well there are tons of "rat" or tiny roads in this country (only for motorcycle) so using GPS may misleads me.

Man I wish my phone has flashlight. That could help, especially during this rainy season when blackout always happens.

@Azelle, Considering that they're sending my entire section and another to go for this, yes there is probably a lot of nasty in there. Ethiopia also has a media blackout in that region which is partly why there's barely anything about it on the news. I wonder if a person could die in there without being reported. . .

@Sana Yeah and I don't know how well you'd get a signal around there. Maps, while not as quick, are the way to go with navigating. At least for what I do anyway.

You could always just carry a flashlight with you. It's what I used to do before I had my phone and what I still do when I'm at work.

EDIT: Well, I think I've fretted enough about my future prospects. Think I might call it a day and see if my nerves have calmed by morning.

Amen to that. Nokia's phones are durable.
