Seems alright from logical thinking. Judging from the background; such a character wouldn't have high PER because she probably never did much training in the fighting department. As a character, her basic details are alright.
Now, moving to the statistics - this simply irks me personally but I think freelance news writers are those who are sitting in a chair a lot of time either reading or writing, I can only think that their usual lifestyle would cause them to not be proficient with running around with lots of distance-covering speed. Naturally her DEX may be more fit for 2, and perhaps SOC of 4 might just be better. I find writers to be really good at talking with others... or so I think - on the contrary, the bespectacled bookworms who reads quite a lot aren't very social... though a news writer, is probably different, ugh, I'm not too sure.
I don't really know, actually. Perhaps you can have her with highest, INT 5. That's your choice. Normally there aren't any real issues with the statistics you put up; it's just my opinion. If you do go with this profile and post it, I won't mind at all. It's good enough.
