Subject: Higher-classed society.
Question #1: What do you think, is the difference between the people of the higher classed society and the people of the lower classed society, and why?
Given answer: The difference between people of a higher class and people of lower class is seen through their mannerisms, dialogue, clothing and possesions.
Example, People of a higher class act more sophisticated and well-mannered, they try to keep look their best when in the presence of the public and their peers. They speak and write formally almost all the time, even in a personal letter/conversation. Dress in expensive clothing or at least the kind of clothing that people classify as sophisticated. Long story short, everything about them spells out sophistication.
People of a lower clas act more casual when talking to each other, often using slang and popular catchphrases to further express themselves. They don't mind acting innappropriate in public as seen in news broadcasts when rowdy teenagers are waving at a camera with the news reporter not noticing. They don't mind if they aren't at their best when in the presence of their peers or the public, they usually wear simple clothing like a t-shirt or jeans. Pretty much just very ordinary.
As to why this is, it would be because people of higher class have more wealth than those of lower class, which is often because of their status which is either what they are born with or have earned through past actions. With this wealth, they are able to afford more expensive items or better services which makes them feel more superior than those who do not own such luxuries.
To summarise, I believe it is because of obtained wealth is why people of higher class act the way they do. From their wealth, they are able to buy luxurious items which makes them feel superior to lower class. From the feeling of superiority, they grow a desire to make more evident that they are superior and so they learn to behave in a sophisticated manner. Time goes on and by now their children are raised to be sophisticated, well-dressed and wealthy. The loop goes on for many generations to come.
Marks: 12/15
(One of the) Reasons:
- Typos, there were two of them, your English is also being tested here, I don't care about excuses. As for everything else, they were fine. But I felt that something more should have been mentioned. Perhaps a mentioning about their huge amount of servants and maids would have done the trick?
Subject: Merits.
Question #2: Differentiate between the merits of Catholicism and Buddha.
Given answer: The merits of Catholicism are when you are rewarded for a good deed you have done or punished for a bad deed. Unlike Buddhism, the deeds do not accumulate into something at the end, it is the principle of equivelant exchange.
Buddhism merits are an accumulation of good deeds which is rewarded to you in your next life(reincarnation). . . I can't think of anything else for Buddhism. . .
To summarise, you are rewarded a merit in Catholicism for a good deed you have done and it is usually from the person who benefits from your deed that rewards you. When you commit a bad deed that harms a person in a way, there is usually punishment which is can be either direct or indirect from the person effected. In Buddhism, merits are the accumulation of good deeds done in your current life which is rewarded to you in your next life.
Marks: 2/5
Reasons:
- Lack of points.
Subjects: Higher-classed society and Merits.
Question #3: What do you think, are the required merits that aristocrats and masters of their mansions should possess and why?
Given answer: Said people should have either wealth, status, fame or skill. Such merits are what make a person of high class. As I stated in question one, wealth is the main origin of high class people, therefore it should be a required merit of an aristocrat. Having status like royalty or a government official is not necessarily a required merit but it does add to being an aristocrat. Same goes for fame, while you don't necessarily need it to be an aristocrat(since you could also be famous for something else that has nothing to do with aristocracy), it does add to being one. Skill, however, I find to be an important merit for an aristocrat. If you had no skill, no sophistication or grace, I doubt one could accumulate an outstanding amount of wealth to become a part of or maintain his place in high class society.
To summarise, important merits of aristocracy would be wealth and skill, those two being the most important merits to have and minor ones like status and fame accompaning.
Marks: 6/15
Reasons:
- I think status is of importance, too, other than wealth and skill.
- Lack of points.
Subject(s): Royalty (also Kingship).
Question #4: What kind of loyalty do you think a Leader, a King/Queen, or a Master/Mistress seeks from her servants, subjects and comrades? What do they expect from their followers as they lead them?
Given answer: A leader should and would expect undying loyalty from his subjects, a kind of loyalty that cannot be bought, forced or asked from, the kind of loyatly that one gives to a leader that they greatly admire and respect.
A leader should expect his servants to follow his orders without question or hesitation. He should expect that his servants satisfy his every need, that they become his hands and feet.
That is all I can think of for this question.
Marks: 5/10
Reasons:
- Lack of points, and no, I don't care about excuses.
Subject: Role-playing.
Question #5: How do you think one should role-play in a role-play thread game?
Given answer: How a person should role-play depends on who that said person is. Obviously, every person has different interests, preferences, ideals and whatnot, so they'd obviously each role-play the way they'd prefer to. I do not believe that there is ONE exact way to role-play as the it can be different depending on the kind of setting the role-play is set in.
If this was a question as to how I myself would role-play, I guess the way I'd role-play in terms of my character would be a character that I can easily write either by making his personality or interests similiar to mine. I prefer to write in third person regularly as the omniscient point of view and I'd try to plan out my actions as strategically as I am bothered to at the time I'm writing a post.
Marks: 2/5
Reasons:
- The question indirectly spoke in general. You should have thought of the common retarded moves that Role-players makes and the senseless actions they make sometimes. "Coincidences" and consistency are the biggest stupid moves that Role-players makes sometimes.
- Playing strategically is a bad thing sometimes. You should just write out what your character is doing and is about to do. It's all about writing your player's parts. Don't think too strategically as that means that you're constantly trying to keep your character alive. And when a character just DOESN'T die; he or she is a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu.
- You can certainly play a role-play game even if you're bad at grammar. But grammar is still important. Proper writing ,fluency and even body language and the likes should have been mentioned.
Subject: Role-playing.
Question #6: If you were to create an Role-play, would you do it? How would you set it up? How would the opening post be? What type of informations will you include? What will it's theme be? How many players do you think will be the perfect amount for it? Tell me everything about it, like the mechanics and such, don't think too deep, as in; like don't talk about WHAT the plot will be. This is a broad question. Explain properly in details.
Given answer: I guess I would make an RP, after I've gotten enough experience.
How I would set it up, before I'd even think of making the thread, I'd try and plan out whatever it is that is necessary for the RP to work, think of measures that I will have to use in case something goes wrong and the like.
I'd try and make the OP breif but containing all the necessary information that the players will need to know. In terms of structure, I guess I'd post the background of the RP first followed with the plot and whatever each players role is in the RP, the rules of conduct to follow if you're playing, character profiles and a blank character profile to show players what kind of information you need to give about your character and then a few important notes at the bottom.
I'd probably base it's theme on something I'm interested in, in my case, it would have to be somewhat military related. Maybe a mercenary group or something like that. In other cases, it may not have anything to do with military and go with another one of my interests, maybe I'll make an RP based in the universe of a certain anime or game or maybe even just a concept I thought of randomly. But in most cases it'd be military related. I would reckon that 5 or so players would suffice for the RP to keep it going at a steady pace.
Now if I was to make this RP, I guess it would be mercenary based. I'd make it that there are several different rival mercenary groups just so that players can go up against each other rather than just killing NPCs.
Mechanics, Weapon limit. I'd make restrictions as to how many weapons each character can use probably by either placing a weight limit or money limit on each character, to explain this further. I'd probably put a set list of weapon types on the OP with set values and a total value limit your character would have, e.g. an Assault rifle class would be 3.5 kg and $5,500 depending on whether I'd use the weight limit or money limit. I'd make it so that, in the future, you're character will be able to carry more or can buy more.
Each mercenary group would have opportunities to develop relations with each other, e.g. two mercenary groups can make their alignments negative and hate each other and constantly hinder each other's plans or they can make a positive alignment and form an alliance to wipe out the other groups. Something like that.
Classes, I'd make different classes that the player's character can be and that class will affect what their expertise is in, e.g. If a player is an Engineer class, he'd be proficient with close quarter weapons like a shotgun or PDW and capable of modifying weapons or repairing things whereas a medic would be proficient with standard assault rifles and smgs and also be capable of aiding other characters. If you've ever played Battlefield, basically, thats what this is.
I still think I need more experience in RPing before I can make an RP myself but this is basically one of my ideas I had thought up of for one.
Marks: 12/15
Reasons:
- You say you'd make the opening post of the thread brief. But the amount of things you say you'd add there makes it almost impossible to call it brief in my opinion. All it means in the end is that there needs to be lots of information up to some extent.
- Plus points for thinking of applying currency in a role-play game as that would make people play more to gain more money and thus, buy more.
Subject: Role-playing.
Question #7: What do you think of D&D RPs? And Role-plays with very complex system and mechanics? How do you think they may work out well? If you think they won't work out well, why? Explain.
Given answer: Personally, I'm not a fan of D&D, I probably wouldn't join one if there was one but that doesn't mean that I don't think there should never be any, I understand that some people like D&D and I respect their opinions. . . unless it is a reason I would deem stupid.
I find that RPs with complex mechanics require more effort and strategy than other RPs which I enjoy however I wouldn't always choose an RP because it has a complex mechanic. Sometimes the more simpler RPs are better.
Why most of them turn out better than a simpler RP, I would say it is because of it's complexity. People are drawn to it because it is challenging, intruiging and mysterious. I'm sure that, no matter what kind of person you are, people are always drawn to challenges of whatever size it may be. Complex RPs give people a more of a challenge than simple RPs and usually, an RP with complex mechanics will also come with a complex plot which catches people's attention, they want to know how the ending will go and while also having the desire of wanting to be a part of this plot.
In most cases, Complex RPs have been successful but there are those complex RPs that are too complex and a majority of the people are not able to catch on with it. These are the rare cases when a complex RP fails. Another case when a complex RP fails is when it has a complex mechanic but the plot is plain, boring or unoriginal. It loses the player's interest and the mechanics are unnecessarily complex for such a simple plot.
Marks: 7/10
Reasons:
- It's not "sometimes" complex Role-plays are better most of the time. Because simpler role-plays don't really have any kind of a backup plan when some players stops posting and abandons the Role-play game. Thus, making the able players wait forever and killing the Role-play, unless the GM does something valid about it.
- I think just about any plots can be interesting depending on the creator. And players would want to find out about almost any plot if they are interesting, complex or no.
Subjects: Higher-classed society, aristocracy and obviously (but not mentioned at start), your Ojou-sama.
Question #8(Final Question.): To you, what is your Mistress? How important is she? What do you think of her? What are your feelings for her? Why do you want to serve her? Why do you respect her (assuming you really do) and what had allowed her to gain your respect? Why would you be loyal to her? What's your relationship with her? Is she an important or precious person to you? Tell us about it in details.
Given answer: Mistress is the person on this forum whom I give my uttermost respect to. To me, she contributes to the essence of CTFG, without her here, CTFG would not be how it is now. Mistress is very authorative most of the time but is quite carefree at other times. I respect Mistress and she is probably the person I most desire to serve under in this forum.
I wish to serve under her because I feel that she is the most suitable person to serve under. She is authorative and amusingly cruel, I enjoy watching how she treats the other users and she is very authorative with me, giving me orders, I specifically enjoy the ones that give me permission to hurt someone, those are the best.
My relationship with Mistress is that of a master and a servant but I would also consider us to be friends. I consider Mistress to be an important person to me, that being that she is the only person in this forum that I will ever be loyal to, the probability that somebody else could make a better master than Mistress is lower than 0.01%.
It is hard for someone like me to truly convey my feelings towards another, whatever feelings they may be, so please know that what I write is only a corner stone of everything.
[color=red][b]Marks: 14/25
Reasons:
- I've not really understood from your answer
why you respect me or how I've gained your respect. I've only assumed that it was due to my authoritativeness but that is only an assumption, obviously lacking proof from your given answer.
- One of the questions, asked,
why you'd be loyal, more explanations were required regarding what you wrote about it.
- Lack of points. I expected more details. And once again, I don't care much for excuses.
